Wow! That’s a cool experience. Was he another guest on the cruise, or was he like…a featured guest? (Like how the TCM Cruises have celebrity guests)
 
I'm starting to have thoughts about selling my OLED Switch. Please don't get me wrong: I'll still love Pokémon and Animal Crossing and others. But... I've decided that with the current economy and my circumstances, it's just not worth it for me. I feel weird playing games around parents who are strongly against that kind of stuff to begin with, and I've been getting more fulfillment out of drawing on my sketchbook than from mashing buttons lately.
 
Can't find an image of what I'm envisioning for the lake in my story, so I drew an ugly (messy) map layout of how to get there and its surroundings. I'm kinda proud of it. lol
 
In America, kids go to school for 12 years (if you don’t count Kindergarten or preschool). But how much of these 12 years do they actually spend time in school?
  • If we count the weekends and school holidays, but we don’t count Thanksgiving Week, Spring Break, or Christmas Break, kids should have approximately 39 weeks of school per year. So that would be 9 years worth of time.
  • However, a typical school year lasts between 180 to 185 days. In terms of number of days, that would be 6 years worth of time. So if kids went to school for 365 days a year, they would be out in 6 years, but that’s not going to happen because everyone needs breaks.
  • A typical school day lasts 7 hours. So in terms of total number of hours in a school year, there are between 1,260 to 1,295 hours, which is the equivalent of ~53 to ~54 days per year. Go for 12 years, that would be the equivalent of 1.75 years.
  • Finally, if we cut out all of the minutes of when they’re not in class, we could get approximately 1.5 years worth of time.
So out of the 12 years kids go to school, only 1.5 years worth of time are actually on learning and education.

One of coworkers is going travelling with his girlfriend, and won't be coming back to this job, so I thought about getting him something for the trip/or after the trip. He's going to a few places, but I plan to ask more about it to get better ideas.
I was maybe thinking of getting them a physcial photo album, a size for like they would obv take photos with their phones, so I thought it be nicer to have them printed out if they desire.
One thing online said a small journal might be useful? Or even some money in the currency they going to first~Still gonna have a good think about it.
I think the photo album would be good either way since they don't need to bring it with them.
Also plan to give him a card. Since he has helped out a lot, and has been super nice. Hope they have a lovely trip! I have till May I think?
 
It’s funny to think how “liberals were the reason for inflation” years ago, but now with Trump in office, prices have increased even more.

For the record, I don’t pay attention to the news. I can’t even talk politics with anyone in my family either since everyone is very far-right on the political spectrum. Just something I’ve noticed.

I love the weed collectibles; they’ve opened up much more lineup possibilities for me :D. Very grateful staff decided to indulge us with the weeds 😌

Even though I know how using shapes to draw is a must and makes things a lot easier, each time I go to draw, I keep thinking how much I want to skip the shapes and wish I could draw everything as it is. At the same time, once I finish filling in the shapes and in the end, the drawing, I feel so satisfied because of the whole drawing process. I’m so impatient, which is part of the reason I think I wouldn’t ever become a professional artist if I wanted to (there are many other reasons too).

You know that feeling when you're so hyperfixated on something that you link certain occurrences and other stuff to that thing?

That's me with Dog Man. For example, there's this one quote from Grime and Punishment that I will never ever forget because it just feels so relevant. I've come across people thinking exactly like this recently, and I even think about it whenever my mind focuses on Kieran in The Indigo Disk.

I also want to add that I almost feel like a reincarnate of 2022-era @/ZeldaCrossing64 or something, because IIRC they were just as into it back then as I am now... XD
 
I got a little sketching of some outlines done just now. I decided to continue trying to draw something smaller than the project that I’ve been working on to try to get me back to drawing regardless of my energy level. I’m hoping I can draw get more down later and eventually enough details to see if I can get some art commissioned 🙂. I’m not sure though on eye color or hair color; won’t know about the hair style until I try sketching it out. I wish I had more energy to do more today and that my mood could stay more stable. Right now it is still pretty stable but still not the best it could be.

Magic the Gathering artists seriously blow me away. I no longer collect Mtg cards, but while browsing for inspiration for making an OC, I came across this and some other Mtg art that I really liked.

As far as I know he was just another guest! I never saw anything promoting him.

You clearly need to visit my workplace! My coworkers put away bags of popcorn and anything else you can eat in a shocking amount of time! 😆 we have a rule on our shift that any food placed on our central desk is the common shared food area. It's one of my favorite things to do... bring food for all these young people I work with. I figure food is a good way for an old guy to make friends at work with the youngin's
 
Been thinking about that lady who looked that Today show host dead in the eye and said that Hello Kitty “isn’t a cat”, but a little girl.
 
I have acquired two new hobbies:

- looking at reviews for cat trees just to see peoples' cats enjoying the cat trees
- looking at scam listings on Etsy (I can sell my soul in exchange for wishes for just $900? wow!!!)

I found this awhile ago when I was first putting together a character reference sheet. I may have to buy some individual cards sometime 👀. Had no idea Windgrace got a card and also a remake with anime style. It is so cute. In this style, I want to boop his nose 🥹.

I should be sleeping but after I had let Jewels out and tried to sleep, I couldn’t sleep. Instead, I’m working on a drawing; I let Jewels back in too 😅. Hopefully she’ll be good when I go try to sleep again.

The older username I used to go by makes me want to die. I made it when I was a teenager when I wanted to change the very first one I went by (I remember this one too) and stuck with it for the longest until..well, not anymore. I was getting more into anime and manga at that time and thought adding 'san' or 'chan' at the end was super cute, so I did.

But at the same time I have a soft spot for the stupid thing whenever I see it.
 
Really wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo decides that the new AC and SSB games for Switch 2 will just be ports of ACNH and SSBU respectively, but with the "BotW and TotK" Switch 2 treatment.

Higher res, fps, etc. and slap on a "Deluxe" for good measure. Animal Crossing New Horizons Deluxe and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Deluxe.

I would actually lol if they end up doing that. Only time will tell.
