Happy St Patrick's day!
I wish I could go to the parade in the city with my friends, but I've got family stuff going on. Ah well, not that huge of a deal

Good luck!I just applied for a new internal position at my job. I don't think I'll get it, but it's worth a try for the hours and pay.
I know this is not the best place to look for biblical advice, but after reading more about sin and virtue, I have a few questions:
To be truthful, I do not want to support activism. I’m not giving up my rights. I’m not giving up my assets. I’m not changing my views. I should be free to say whatever I want and do whatever I want, for as long as I don’t harm others. And if I don’t want to be involved, then I don’t have to be involved. That being said, I don’t want to move further away from God simply because I refuse to support or host activism, and I don’t know if failing to do so would lead me further from God.
- Is being dismissive towards social issues sinful?
- Is being neutral or indifferent to BLM issues sinful?
- Is it a sin to label protestors as “barbarians” or to call people “too sensitive”?
I’ll probably ask someone next time I go to church.Oof, this is a little deeper than my in general mentioning of religion in the forums which members have mentioned a couple of times that the topic existing alone makes them feel uncomfortable or express anger over.
I'd be happy to attempt to answer questions if you'd like in pm sometime, as long as you remember that I am by no means an expert nor a pastor/priest/theologian. Also, pm would allow me to site source links for personal reflection as I believe each individual should make their own decisions on such topics in Christianity, as many things in life aren't necessarily black and white but are often a state of conscience and even what is merciful vs legal or what is good over freedom of can as Paul did touch on these topics in the new testament.
I would also like to encourage people to find and participate in a forum that is focused on their religion. For example, Christianity is a very broad umbrella religious label. There are many religions in Christendom due to the Great Schism that happened forming the Roman Catholic Church (West) and the Eastern Orthodox Church (East), and then the Roman Catholic Church had a split forming the Protestants who protested against certain practices of the Roman Catholic Church and their intense and aggressive gatekeeping of religious texts. The Protestants have further branches due to having varying perspectives of theology and personal fence placement about life.
Joining a forum with its focus on Christianity can give you the opportunity to hear not just Western theological thought, but also Eastern which is immensely helpful to a Western Christian who is often times not exposed to Eastern thought. Christianity forums sometimes even have Abrahamic religion sections which includes religions outside the 3 major Abrahamic religions of Islam Judaism and Christianity. Because Christianity often looks towards Abraham for liberty and clarity (book of Hebrews in New testament) about faith law and life, because he lived before the Law and still had favor with God, and not just obviously Jesus, sometimes the smaller Abrahamic religions may sometimes have helpful nuggets of perspective for personal reflection.
Sounds like a plan. Lots of questions is always good. (Also I interpreted the last part of your post as having concern rather than you expressing selfishness.)I’ll probably ask someone next time I go to church.
Now I’ll be honest and say that the last part of my post makes me sound selfish. But given the radical beliefs of some activists and how protestors behaved (not to mention, but some of the more absurd demands they make), I have a reason to refuse my support.

If it’s OK, hope I get to see its feet. (Not the owlet in question, but close in age.)This evening I went walking near Big Mama’s nest. She wasn’t there, but an owlet was on the ground. It was white and round, like a stone, except it had bright eyes and a beak. Furby vibes.
A neighbor had texted a few minutes earlier she saw one owlet on the ground, so we went to take a look. It’s bigger, so maybe fledgling? Big Mama wasn’t there. Anyway, when we passed the house on the way back, the baby was lying facedown on the ground. I looked it up, and apparently owlets sleep face down bc of their huge heads.
Later, went out again and the owlet is still facedown. Passed the house near its nest, and the owlet is gone.I’m assuming the people whose yard it was in took it to wildlife care. My only hope is that it’s injured, but not dead. Owls are amazing creatures.
