Place your random thoughts.

I hate Orochi in One Piece; even in the flashbacks, he is just awful. With that being said, Oda did an amazing job though with him; I may hate him as a character but that doesn’t mean the writing was bad. Over the years, I’ve watched anime and played games with characters I felt indifferent about and to me that usually says that the writing could be better while if I strongly love or dislike/hate a character, it usually means the writing was really good.

I’m watching One Piece now, so other random thoughts:

Otsuru looks so different now & Denjiro too. Denjiro in the flashbacks seems so different from what I’ve seen of him (his identity hasn’t been revealed but I got spoiled by a game I play 😅).

Initially when I was reading the manga, I kinda thought I didn’t like Oden considering the bit about his harem, but he seems to be a character with good morals. He seems a bit goofy and eccentric (i mean it in a positive way) but he is seriously really cool! I wish he saw through Orochi and the guy that I also got spoiled from my game, that is a traitor 😔; and I wish he and Toki didn’t have to die either. Ofc, at the same time, I do realize that their deaths was important to the plot, not to mention that the story can’t always be happy where nothing goes wrong or where everything can be resolved. The struggles and hardships is part of what makes the story solid.

Yasuie also seems really cool too; I really wish he didn’t have to die 😭 (that scene was so hard to watch). I feel bad for thinking he was weird (before I found out about Smile).

Young Cat Viper & Dogstorm were so cute! so cute seeing cat viper playing with a cat teaser lol.

So weird to see Ashura crying in a flashback when they got caught stealing lol.

Hard to believe Oden was only 18 at the start of the flashbacks; he looked older than that.

The concept of Public Domain cartoon VHS is kind of funny and fascinating to me since I'm more into official VHS and later DVD's and VHS rentals back then. Even the covers of these made me laugh. Bargain Bin VHS in the 80's does wonders I guess.
(the Tumblr link below is to the examples of what I'm talking about. Pretty great blog despite being old like 10 years ago)

I read that Jonathan Joss (voice of John Redcorn in King of the Hill) was murdered by his neighbor. (R.I.P.) I hope the King of the Hill revival will honor him in some way.
The fact that this act was a hate crime has further solidified my support for capital punishment. I’ve always supported capital punishment for crimes like murder. Since the world has gotten crueler, I support it even more, and now I think hate crimes, whether or not the victim’s life was taken, should be punishable by death.

Google can just fall off of a cliff and die in a fire.

They detected my adblock on YouTube, so moving over to FireFox if they even try to get rid of it. I already have it prepare, just try me with your scammy robot realistic dog slop & questionable Webtoon-like stories ads.

I know it sounds weird, but I love how every page I go to on TBT has Rambley dancing at the top of the page, and then all over many of the sub forums by the titles of threads I've posted on before. Makes me very glad I chose this as an avatar!

I felt this way for a long time until I realized the justice system is just too flawed. There have been 200 exonerations in the United States alone. That's 200 innocent lives set to be taken away (and an estimated 4% are innocent on death row at any given time).

It's not a moral stance directly against the act of the state being allowed to commit execution, but I just can't agree with taking and sacrificing innocent lives to serve justice to others. Especially with how many are still being wrongfully incarcerated. (4%-6%).

If we could make special exceptions (aka reversed for those such as Ted Bundy) then I could agree with it. Unfortunately it's not how the justice system works.

We know the system is flawed and with the death penalty active we accept that mistakes will be made and innocents will die in order to dish out justice for others.

It's nothing I feel up for debate about. Even I often feel torn on it. Those are just a few of my thoughts.

Yesterday was the monthly tornado siren test, and when I worked from home, Finn barked and stood by the basement door. He would peer around the corner, like “Are you ready?” I guess he was smart (and Midwestern!) enough to connect the siren with going in the basement. (Something that happens quite a bit) So I’d carry him downstairs.

Curiously enough, he liked to walk upstairs, but never down. My other dog refused any stairs (Finn was a Shih Tzu; Peppy was a Shih-Poo.) which made sense because of his short legs…but Finn was more adventurous that way.

Lol, I just watched the react selection ascend to the post above. Like it literally started moving up the page slowly 💀 (my phone's been glitching all day, I don't think it has to do with tbt)

Alright, let's settle this debate...

GIF pronounced the same as "give" or GIF pronounced the same as "jiffy"?

I really can’t stand this old lady that Orochi keeps listening to. I wonder if people had not persecuted him for being a Kuroumi, if he would have remained loyal to the Kozuki’s. It seems kinda clear that she is manipulating him. It’s kinda infuriating to watch this, knowing what Orochi becomes.

I wonder if Oden had returned home with Toki, if he would have been able to put Orochi’s plot to an end and if Roger would have still been able to make it to the final Island. I thought it was interesting that Toki said she’d dissolve their marriage if Oden stopped his adventure because of her being ill; that tells me how much she supports his dreams and how strong willed she is.

I love the arc but I can’t help being curious how different things would have been with Wano had Oden stopped his journey there, and where Luffy would be if Wano didn’t need his help.

I’m also wondering why didn’t Whitebeard fight Kaido when Oden was killed, since Oden was like family, just like he had fought the Navy when Ace was captured. I understand that Oda needed a plot hole or something to let the Wano arc with Luffy happen. He could have made a small side story (like how he had done with Garp, Coby and Helmeppo) of some sort of attempt that failed or some reason that made it impossible.
