I finally found a treat that my cat likes, and after I gave her a few, she has become quite feisty, which is an unusual quality for her. I gave her the treats for being good while I trimmed her nails, and now she wants to bite, lightly, and scratch (thankfully I just trimmed her nails!)

Cats are weird... I love them to death.

I finished reading Yellowface. It's a very interesting book that sets up a lot of interesting stuff but doesn't really follow through with any of it.

Okay correct thread this time? Wild thing I posted in the identity thread that I'm abt to repost here lmao

How tf am I supposed to tell my therapist abt my springtrap special interest and the sheer amount of fun I've been having playing him in dbd without sounding absolutely deranged. Like it HAS to come up during the appt because I've been REALLY hyperfixated fnaf is constant in nearly every thought but like how am I supposed to explain that to a therapist who doesn't play video games 😭

I just read an article about recycling and how ineffective it is. Only a small percentage of recyclable materials we throw away get accepted, and it became more of a business than an environmental solution.

I won’t even get started on those articles where some scientists think it would be better to let the Earth warm up than combat climate change.
I did some research about the news agency that reported it. Like the climate change skeptics, Climate Cosmos is anti-environment. Not like the climate change skeptics, Climate Cosmos doesn’t lie about global warming and its impacts. It would be good if people can stop lying about science. But if you know that the earth is warming up, tell everyone that global warming is real and that our carbon emissions are responsible for it, and you have the ability and resources to reduce your carbon footprint, yet you refuse to save the environment or tell others that they don’t have to do that, then you are worse than a climate change denier.

Lies are bad, and believing the lies are just as bad. But ignorance by choice (where you know between right and wrong and reject any lies, yet you choose to make the wrong decision) is worse because of 1) it’s shameful to do something, knowing it’s bad, and 2) you made the purpose of spreading the information meaningless.

Someone I know saw a fanart of velma from scooby doo with short hair and got disgusted, calling it a "lesbian haircut". I asked them wtf they meant by that and they were just like "you know what I mean". Some people are so weird ngl, I don't understand them

Happy pride, everyone :^)

Battle Tree Super Doubles.... I finally beat it the other night. Fighting Blue was no problem (I had my Clefable use Follow Me to redirect the Hurricane away from Kommo-o so he could safely use his Z-Move. It's basically a free Ancient Power boost) but GETTING to Blue was the difficult part of this whole ordeal..... The CPU is so cheap and hacky. Hypnosis NEVER misses, and their Quick Claws always activate on the very first turn. Everything crits, everything freezes, everything has Thunder Wave, everything has Bright Powder and Lax Incense to make sure your moves miss. Once they confuse you, you hit yourself first turn guarantee. Blizzards and Thunders always land perfectly without the aid of Hail or Rain Dance, or worse yet, Thunder and Hurricane landing during a Sunny Day. And to top it all off, there's a Walrein with Fissure AND Sheer Cold.... It's actually how one of my runs ended.

The CPU is so smart and stupid at the same time. It all just comes down to luck in that facility.

So I had to resort to using my own cheap and hacky tactics, lol I used a Manectric with Switcheroo to give the opponent a Choice Scarf so that they're stuck using the same move until they end up struggling to death. I was surprised that strategy even worked because the CPU always finds a way to counter your team. This strat works well in Singles and Doubles.

In Doubles, I used a Mega Gyarados to lure out all the Electric opponents, and Manectric's Lightning Rod ability protected him from Electric moves. Manectric's one job was just to Switcheroo the Choice Scarf. It didn't matter if he died. The rest of the team would handle the rest. In the back, I had a Cresselia with Ally Switch and a Chansey with Eviolite. Then I would proceed to Toxic stall my way to victory, lmao

When it was time to fight Blue, that's when I swapped over to Kommo-o and Clefable. I beat the Super Doubles and I'm so happy to finally be done with that crap.

Why did I think he was Plane Jane at first glance? 😭 (No hate; I saw the pic before the caption.)

Wait…is Hunter Schafer actually being considered to play Zelda in a Legend of Zelda movie, or is that a fan thing? Either way, I hope it actually happens— I can’t think of anyone else who embodies Zelda the way she does.

I’ve heard rumors that she is! So there does seem to be more to it than just fans.

Even when there’s a heat wave going on, just watching these mobile ads about games where families suffer the cold winters in broken houses reminds me of how miserable the winter can be. Just letting you know, it’s not good to follow the opposite extreme when you went one extreme.

It's interesting how Cary Elwes has been in three movies spoofing the fairy tale genre-- The Princess Bride, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, and Ella Enchanted.

I just realized that I’m getting closer to the part in the manga that I was nervous about, in the anime. I dropped the manga back then (I’m hoping to get caught up with the manga too eventually). I know what is going to happen since throughout the anime/manga, it is mentioned; just no specific details. This is nothing compared to the anxiety I got while watching AOT ofc lol. I have to watch this episodes though and read the chapters; I can’t procrastinate forever lol.

I saw something mentioning d-day just now, and I'd forgotten what it was. So I asked my dad and he explained and half way through I was like "oh I actually have heard of it before!" and then I remembered that I'd learnt about it from a narnia ff and decided to keep my mouth shut about how I'd heard of it lol
