Place your random thoughts (video games in general edition)

Huh, it might be your emulator, I've never had issues with catching fish in Wild World except that positioning the bobber is a bit tough.

Though I've not attempted the Coelacanth yet, maybe it is just special.
Yeah, I had an easier time with fishing in WW when I had a 3DS to play on.

But then again, I don’t recall ever attempting the coelacanth back then either, and I successfully caught a stringfish on the emulator.

Everyone has been so hyped about Pokopia and even though I bought it and enjoyed what little I've tried, I've been occupied with Earthbound instead. I may just not be in the place for a cozy game at the moment.

I guess this is more of a random question than thought, but is Pokopia worth getting? Also, since I have literally no experience with Pokémon, would I enjoy the game? From the little bit I have seen, it looks fun, but I dont want to spend the money without doing my research first. I would love to hear what you all think if you have been playing it

Earthbound the SNES game?

Kinda random but I never knew this official artwork for Majora's Mask existed and it's gotta be one of the best video game related paintings I've ever seen.

In Wild World, Booker doesn't always notify you of special visitors. He told me there was no one visiting this morning, but what do I find at my beach? A special visitor.

I normally play with a Switch 2 pro controller, but I was using my joycons to prepare for the TBT Friendly for Mario Party Jamboree since for some reason you cant do the motion stuff for mini games with a pro controller.

I know I dont need them for this game, but I have been tearing my house apart looking for the darned wrist strap attachments for the joy cons. I KNOW THEY ARE HERE SOMEWHERE! I had to stop once I started working up a sweat looking for them 😆. I am an organized person, so when something goes missing, it can drive me nuts looking for it!

Just finished my 25th game this year (it was Super Mario RPG). Some people have said I’ll reach 100 games by the end of the year, but considering I’m starting trade school soon my pace will probably slow down…

100% yes.

It is Animal Crossing meets Dragon Quest Builders, but Pokémon themed.

I admittedly may be biased being a Pokémon fan since the late 90s. But I've seen so many comments from people picking up this game as their first Pokémon title, or their first Pokémon game in many years, and loving it. You don't need any knowledge of the franchise to enjoy it. Knowledge of the Kanto region (Gen 1) helps in picking up on little quirks in locations that help match where they are in relation to the early games, but it isn't necessary at all. It is more just an "ah-ha!" moment for those of us who know.

I made a tier list of every pokemon ever made, but sadly I can't post it here since it's over 13 megabytes. I'd have to compress it to the point where it couldn't be viewable if I wanted it to fit the upload size limits on the site. Maybe I could just crop it to show the highest and lowest tiers? I'm not sure.

I almost wonder if Nintendo is waiting until after the Mario Galaxy Movie to reveal this year’s first Nintendo Direct, as it taking this long seems a little suspicious. 🤨

They are probably expecting the movie to be the huge Mario project that will be the money maker of the 40th anniversary and of this year.
