pirate theme or mermaid theme?

If I had to pick one, then mermaid because it is a really nice theme and I never got the entire set in New Leaf.

Definitely pirate. Plus I already experienced the mermaid set in new leaf. I actually was aiming for a pirate theme island as my island name is Treasure but the lack of items just name it impossible. I was thinking if only at least a treasure chest existed and damn was not expecting them to go through with one. I did wish there was even more pirate items than clothing

The pirate set is amazing imo, probably my favourite set in the game atm. I have a little pirate cove area with little Gnomes arming canons .

The mermaid set is kinda like the wedding season stuff to me, it's nice looking, but I don't have any uses for them on my island. If they let us put rugs outside, or wall mounted furniture like the clock/wedding flowers on cliffs that would be nice.

If I had to choose... pirate. BUT I'm glad I don't have to choose, because I also love the mermaid theme ☺

And I was THRILLED to find that, if all my characters help Gullivaar (also, that name cracks me up) they could all get different items as rewards!

Pirate would be easier on the eyes, I think. Mermaid can be cute but I think it’ll get stale after a while. Pirate is a little more classic, IMO.

mermaid is great.. beautiful and speaks to my princess side.
