Pirates have booze, (which of course makes them live longer), awesome pets (monkeys and parrots ftw), a hoard of treasure(a HOARD! it rocks!), and of course the ability to travel the world!
And besides ninjas can't attack them cause ninjas are afraid of water. True fact, other than stupid naruto anime where has there ever been a ninja that liked swimming in the ocean. And where has there ever even been a ninja who could actually sail it. That's right ninjas can't even reach the secret tropical skull island.

Sily, sily people. We all know that wizards can beat ninjas and pirates any day of the week. Wizards can have owls, cats and toads but we also have our Patronus or Animagus and Dumbledore had a pheonix. If a wizard wants to kill you they just have to say, "Avada kedavra!" And it's done. Sure ninjas can be silent hunters, but wizards have silencing charms and invisibility cloaks, Pirates can travel the world on their boat, but wizards can use brooms, apparate, floo powder or they can use any magical, flying creature like Thestrals.
