pink trees?

I have seen the town tree and other trees in some towns are pink...does this happen at a certain time of year or only in certain games ie; Japanese?

Happens during Spring/April.

Note: Only the trees that aren't pines or non fruit&bells trees will be pink.

Which in my case tragically I won't have pink trees in my town</3

during the first 10 days of april all the non-fruit or non pine/evergreen trees turn pink...
it looks really pretty so I'm not surprised loads of japanese dream towns are set on that date

They are so gorgeous. First ten days of April. And the cherry blossoms in the air is a nice touch.
I wish we could have pink trees year around!
