Pinging?

Never understood this pinging term. Today Bruce pinged me about moving.

Sometimes a villager will run up to you with something to say. When they do this, you hear a little pinging sound. Then they run to you and close their eyes and their head moves all goofy like.lol.( Sounds stupid the way I said it.).. They will often tell you they're thinking of moving, or suggest a public works project. Sometimes it's something goofy like, wanting you to give them a new catch phrase, buy something from you, etc.

It was a bit hard for me to explain, so I hope I didn't confuse you.

Also, when they ping, they. will follow you around for a few seconds. They will stop if you ignore them for too long.
