I actually wish there was a neutral option, to be honest. I think he's creepy rather than cute, but he's a little cute and he wouldn't be a character I'd shovel hate onto if he ended up as a random in my town.
I can safely assume that everyone no longer find clowns funny.
The better question is "Are sheeps cute?".
Cause that's what Pietro's character is pretty much doin'. It's the cuteness of a sheep vs the not-so-funny qualities of a clown. Not to mention that the killer clown trope doesn't help Pietro's cute factor.
The sheep are my absolute favorite! They make me so happy. At first when i was looking for the dreamies I really wanted sheep, but it got to the point where I wanted so many that I mine as well have filled my town with them. So I decided to do that, and I had mixed feelings about him for a while, but after he moved in I was sold. I really love my creepy-sheepy.
I think Pietro is fantastic and I love having him in my town. I don't see why anyone would think he's creepy, even with the "clowns are scary" angle.
Edit - I can agree that clowns in real life can be creepy, but that has to do with the make up and not being able to take facial cues from them. Pietro is just a colorful sheep with happy make up, there's no possible threat from him.
His rainbow coloring is what I love about him. Plus he's just so adorable as a smug personality too, I always have a laugh when I interact with him.
Is it his clown facepaint that people find creepy? Other than that nothing about him really seems off-putting, unless you dislike sheeps, smugs, or rainbows.
