Also didnt PETA run an animal shelter that ended up killing all the animals in it due to low funding and how they weren't able to care the animals in it?

they literally DONATED TO THE MUSEUM just to 'stage a protest' and demand the tanks be dumped... but if you bring that up they block you or say they 'raided' islands which you cant do.

I can laugh at these animal crossing stunts, because... come on. But seriously, PETA is awful. They sent a mailer to my house (how did they get my address??) stuffed with photos of a cat in a lab. Not going into details, because it was super graphic. I was shaking. It turns out this campaign ended way before they even sent these out. I just don't get it. If you really cared about animals, why would you spend money to send out pictures of graphic cat abuse to unsuspecting animal lovers?

you cant do anything to the fish once donated. they stay there. i would have reported them to the cops for sending me that damn photo, then changed locations. imagine having a young child (who has no idea what animal abuse is) who sees the mailed photos

It's widely believed that Team Plasma being the Pokemon equivalent of Peta was deliberate on Nintendo's part. Peta had been protesting Pokemon and comparing it to dog fighting since the Red and Blue days. So Nintendo finally got fed up and had the evil organization in B&W be an organization that claims it stands for freeing Pokemon from their abusive trainers, but whose members would actually themselves abuse Pokemon in secret. N's character arc mirrors that of young activists who believe in the cause, but slowly come to the realization that the organization is not what it seems. That's why the Peta parody game mentioned on the first page was specifically based on Black and White - they knew B&W was a jab at them.
