Hello pet owners!! *chest bumps the guys* *high-fives the girls*

Lucy.jpg

Firstly, here's my husky/chow mix Lucy raised by my brothers & I. What an amazing friend & pet; sad that Lucy passed on earlier this year due to leg problems which kept her from doing what she loved most: walks & squirrel hunting. I miss her everyday.

Boy.jpg

My parents bought this useless pom, Boy & now I mostly care for him. He is quite lazy, has a fierce appetite, & barks at strangers & larger dogs... only from my balcony. While he's very friendly & curious- it's the activities that I put him through that keep us together. We often climb stairs at home & the park because he's chubby. Due to his short legs, he has rolled downward like 4x times. Twice he's done so on the 2nd step! Who/what does that?! Obviously, this oversized fur scallop has gotten clever to which he knows I'll carry him up. Also, confession, his size & jumpy girth compels me to toss him around the house. 8 feet across landing on a sofa, a 7 feet vertical drop onto a bed, catapulted over a fence molding the fresh snow... one day we well visit a beach & he & I will go para-sailing during a laxing sunset.

Snowflake.jpg

This bunneh isn't mine, it belongs to my niece. On a family trip she left me w/ Snowflake & yes, he's house trained so food & bathroom duties we made a space for him. I took that picture months earlier before babysitting it. I didn't know upon dropping him off she leashed the blasted bell on him where every hop & jump, it rings. Upon the 4th hour, I was going nuts. My 2 dogs did little but sniff the dreamy rabbit pate while it hid behind my sofa & blended in w/ my white walls. When I finally caught him, I strapped the bell onto Boy's body for being a poor sidekick & snapped & msged the photo below to my niece that send her reeling.

Hi Kaiaa, I thought I did that. I reuploaded the pics- thanks for letting me know!

Bambi, Kismet is a very awesome looking dog! It's too bad their breed hardly ever receives recognition @ dog shows but people love to own them! Hrm, Chia is def. mayhem w/ wings. ;) Using my head as a nest, taking 2 spots on the sofa, repeating the stupid things I say when I have guests! Ooo, I am not primed to take care of birds...

My family has 3 pets: 2 cats and a dog :3

That's a nice family of pets, Dustbunni!

I only have a Goldfish...

I used to have 2 female cats, and a female Jack Russel; but bad stuff happened

Oh, very sorry to hear that! :(

I don't have any pets anymore. ;w; I had a pet budgie but he died when I was younger... Then we got some goldfish who all died too. xD But they were goldfish and I never really grew attached to them really. Then I got 2 rabbits, who were sisters but then they passed away a couple of years ago, and that's like, the first time I've ever been so distraught over losing a pet...

Sad, & unlucky. Sorry you went through this.

Thanks!
and Wow, Lucy was gorgeous :) it's good that you have good memories of her.

I have a maltese, a Leopard Gecko and blue betta fish. Also two cats but they live with my dad. :O

I have one furbaby at home - my cat Blaze, whom you can see in my avatar. He's my baby; I brought him home when he was 8 weeks old, and will be 18 years old in August.

A little over a year ago, he was diagnosed with chronic renal failure, so he's on a special diet. He also was recently diagnosed with high blood pressure, so he has to take that medication once a day. Other than that, you'd never know he was as old as he is. He's thoroughly spoiled and totally rules the house.

I just had a cross-stitch chart made from a picture of him that I'm going to put in my living room. It'll take a while, but it'll be a fitting tribute to him, down the line.

Well I used to have a cat (she was the family cat.) We named her Tiddles! The first time she moved into our house was when she was a kitten, she looked so adorable but now she's just a huge furry monster haha :) They sure do grow fast!

Omg pictures please! :) How in the world do you manage all these? I have a hard enough time with a dog and a parrot!

I've four cats: Dante, Devyn, Keiko, and Maiko.
Also known as: Dimmy, Debdeb, Babycakes, and Miss Lady.

Clockwise from top-right: Keiko, Maiko, Dante, Devyn. (applies to both images)

Dante has some sort of mental problem, but he's so affectionate! Anything makes him purr. (^^) Devyn is the 'mature' one - sometimes, the rest of the time he is in a bad mood... usually another cat's fault. Keiko is spawn of Satan and she's constantly misbehaving: her favourite trick is to jump on top of the kitchen door. Maiko is my angel. <3 She answers to "Miss Lady" (BIGBANG reference) and always runs to greet me when I come downstairs in the morning / when I come home.

Tina! Classy assortment of cats! Hehe, Dante in the delivery box is a top picture! ^_^

Nicole, come on. You can't describe a kitten turned cat pillow without pictures! :-) Nicole, a pictorial time line of baby kitty to Tiddles the Monster is preferred. =)

Ahaha! Thanks for the nice comments. ^_^

Bambi - It's definitely a fair amount of work, but hubbs and I split it up between ourselves so that no one person is burdened too heavily. Thankfully the cat, mouse, hamster and tortoise are all pretty low-maintenance.

ben_nyc - The names around here are super-duper random. Some are named after Greek gods/goddesses, some are Japanese terms. The parrot was named by the associate that cared for her, so we just kept it. Some of them are named something random that just popped into my head and seemed to fit.

Here are pics.

I have two Main Coon cats named Ashley and Prince. they're both around 11 years old, but Prince is a few months older. I help feed them, I clean their litterbox, and I groom and play with them both. they get along, but Prince is sometimes a bully to her, which I guess is normal for cats to show whose 'in charge'.
this is Ashley:

she loves boxes, and loves to play, and she loves me just as much as I love her. she's my fluffy best friend. she bangs on my door, kills all the bugs, and makes sure she has my attention. sometimes we cuddle, but I could never sleep with her because I'm scared of squishing her. besides, she'd wake me up at three to leave anyway, how I've tried.

this is Prince:
rizof4.jpg

sometime he eats Ashley's food, and he's the one who sheds all over the rug, and he's the one always begging us for food, but we love him. we're thinking about giving him a diet of some kind because he seems a little chubby and we're concerned of his health. Once he ate a salad.. with dressing and everything on it.. he also enjoys stealing bacon during breakfast. we try to play with him, but the only toys he likes is the ones with catnip in them. but instead of chasing after it, he'd roll around with it on the floor and lick it. he's much more lazy than any of us in the house, haha.

I love both my cats so much and I'm hoping to get the same breed when I have my own house. I recommend getting a Main Coon because they're the definition of gentle giants. they're probably the biggest pet cat you could get, they're extremely friendly, barely bite, and perfect for a family.

Ooh! I have 5 dogs.
One's a Labrador...
Two are MinPins, the most adorable doggies in the house. They're also somewhat guard dogs.
1 is a Jack Russel who hates me.
And the other is a Chihuahua who's scared of me and when ever I pick him up he struggles.
