A treat I see -- He sees the Trix cereal
Round and sweet -- Trix are round and sweet
Coloured bits I eat -- Trix are colorful
One gulp - it's done -- Uhh the rabbit wants to get just one spoon of the Trix?
Short legs run! -- The kids (with short legs) run after him
BUSTED!! Oh oh! -- Because they caught him
How'd she know!? -- He wonders how they always find him
The crime denied -- He isn't allowed to eat Trix because he's not a kid
But you just can't hide ... -- He can't hide and get away with eating Trix, the kids always find out

So the perp is the rabbit and the crime is him trying to eat Trix when he shouldn't because "Silly rabbit, Trix are for kids!" and he's not a kid anymore..

A little kid wants the last cookie in the cookie jar but her mum won't let her so she sneaks to get one and eats it really quickly, her mum hears her footsteps and sees nothing in the jar but a few crumbs. The little girl thought she couldn't find out because she hid the cookie jar. But there were crumbs on the floor.
