Seeing as both Pokemon Omega ruby/alpha and Smash Wii U is coming out tomorrow. I just wanted to know which you guys are more excited for. Personally, I'm more excited for ORAS, as Ruby was my first pokemon game, and it's a remake of it with some exciting new features.

ORAS.

Smash only really made me excited when I had family/friends around to play. Now I don't have much family around to play with me, and none of my friends are into Smash (except one), so I just see Smash as something casual I'll be playing, where as ORAS is gonna be less casual.

why are you people even obsessed with a remake of a decade old game that looks like it will be even more piss-easy than it was a decade ago anyways

I have no idea on how should I properly evaluate Pok?mon OR/AS, especially since I haven't really played a proper Pok?mon game since the first generation. I'm still a bit iffy here, being one of the most stale Nintendo franchises because they tend to release one game in like every year or two? If you haven't played a Pok?mon games in the last 3 years, then you might want to consider getting either OR or AS.

Personally, I would head for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, especially if you didn't get the 3DS version yet. Even though the story mode is absent, there's still quite a lot of content to enjoy. Maybe it won't last as long as Pok?mon OR/AS in that regard, but I'm pretty confident it has upper hands in terms of replay value. Also, the production values look great on that one.

On some level, I don't actually care if ORAS is too easy/too hard/rubbish/full of water/full of trumpets. The bottom line is it's a Pokemon game, I love to play Pokemon, so I will play Pokemon.

Usually I'm much pickier about what I spend my money on, but I'll buy every new Pokemon RPG game and just enjoy it for what it is. I was disappointed with XY to be honest, but I've still played it for 1200+ hours, because despite its shortcomings there was still a lot of fun to be had. So I'm ready for whatever ORAS has to offer, even if it's not groundbreaking!

same tbh.. idk pokemon (sapphire, to be exact) was the first ever video game i've ever played, and it was actually the reason why I got into playing video games, so the entire franchise is really special for me. I was quite disappointed (a little bit only though) with XY, but I still enjoyed it a whole lot nevertheless! Still pumped for ORAS, and can't wait to see Hoenn remade!

Both.

But Smash Wii U, just because it's the new Smash Bros.
What's not to like about it?

I'd have to pick SSB4 just because I'm just into more fighting games like it. I may get OR or AS when it's the 'cooldown time', as I call it ( January - June ).

Not that I'm saying I disagree with you but you could basically have the same argument for smash. They already released a 3DS version, the WiiU version is just basically an HD version, with more features - like ORAS is an 3D version of RS with more features.

ORAS

I would get Smash but I dont want to risk my circle pad getting ruined. To me Smash is better suited for an actual console than a handheld.

I would say ORAS. If you've already gotten Smash 3DS, it won't be a big deal if you don't get it right away.

ORAS. I'm not good enough to play smash with any of my friends because I never worked at getting better. I feel Pokemon is more relaxed.. Ish.

To be honest, I'm looking forward more to Pok?mon ORAS but only because I played Pok?mon Ruby starting last year and come to love it, thanks to much of the gameplay elements, the plot, location, characters, etc., I come to love it and in doing so, managed to get further than Pok?mon X/Y (which I still need to finish) waited for Hoenn Remake rumor once it circulated around to be real. So when it was real and confirmed back in May, I was estacric and very hyped for the game! Nonetheless, I ended up anticipating everything about the game like gameplay videos and new features! I'm more curious now about the story elements too especially the post game one that was recently announced! :) That, and it's an RPG that I come to love after playing samples of Pok?mon Black and White, Pok?mon Silver, Pok?mon Pearl, and Pok?mon Soulsilver combined. But Hoenn is definitely my favorite of the past games that I've played so definitely been looking forward to it more because of those reasons.

As for Smash, as much as I'd love to play it, I may have to wait to get the 3DS version for Christmas/Birthday although the Wii U one looks very stunning and I always wanted to try it out as this would be my first Smash. And as much as I love watching the gameplays of the ones I missed or kind of played, I have yet to experience it. Unfortunately, I'd need money and a part-time job to get both and right now, I don't have both of those so it kind of sucks as I wanted to try it on there but I think I can wait a few years as not only do I prefer RPGs but this game is something I honestly would like to play but can wait. I'll be looking forward to the gameplays though! ^^;

lmao i dont even HAVE a wii u. i can just play my brothers 3ds sm4sh.

Definitely Smash.

Ruby and Sapphire are the only Pokemon games I never enjoyed, so I don't think the remakes are going to do that much for me either.

Getting Smash today and most likely getting OR/AS soon. More excited for Smash.

ORAS
Since I don't even care a bit about Smash U since I already have the 3DS version. Besides, I don't even have a Wii U.
Anyways, my first Pokemon Game was Sapphire and I had so much memories with it. It was the first Pokemon Game I ever played and I really love that region. In fact, I have been waiting 3-4 years for this.

Wii U has Gamecube controller support

your argument is invalid
