Hi all,

I`ve been thinking about buying The Walking Dead games for Xbox 360 (30E per game, 20E 2nd hand), because I really like the show. There are`n`t many reliable reviews out there, so I wondered what you guys (and especially fans of the series) thought of it?

Also I wonder if the graphic style means the game is an interpretation of the cartoon instead of the TV show?

Thanks for the help.

I already checked on the Walking Dead; Survival Instinct, that seems like a crappy game.

I have the Steam versions, but I imagine their all the same.

Get them. Now. xD
If you like games of this type, you can't pass them up.

Thank you!
Do you need a fast pc to run it? Probably not right?

they're okay, not amazing.
season 1 is definitely better than season 2.

if you're wanting to play a game with very powerful, unique and charismatic characters that will grow on you then I'd definitely suggest The Last of Us

wait nvm its a ps3-4 exclusive game only

Thank you both as well, I`m convinced, I`ll buy them on Steam. Kinda shame there are no characters from the series in it though, but I`m sure the new ones will also grow on me.

There's actually 2 or 3! It's not really anything like the series, though, but the game is my favorite. Hope you like it! :)

Nah, their pretty light. You shouldn't have any issues.
Also look into The Wolf Among Us if you like The Walking Dead games. The same team made it, same style game, different setting, just as awesome.

I have the one Steam game, I forget what it's called. They're really fun. I recommend it!

Actually there are.
Glenn's in it, as is Hershel. (though they look nothing like how they do in the tv-series)
There are characters in it from the comic book as well, with a major one being Lilly.

Obviously these aren't confirmed, but they are more or less inspired by these characters.

It's scary but cool.

Baaah. Just heard an animal died though not gonna spoil.

It's scary but cool.

But I wouldn't play I may die instantly.

It's a pretty easy game. If it was easy to die, you couldn't advance in the story.

I love the Walking dead games! I'm on series 2 episode 4, so only one to go after that. I have died quite a few times, but that has either been because:

*You have to do something within two seconds but the pointer is in a weird position and I can't do it in time
*The batteries in my mouse literally just ran out
*I don't button mash fast enough

Also, the choices you make don't really matter overall. If you save a character, they will die anyway later on, only adding slightly different dialogue.

But other than that, it's really great and I would recommend it!

I haven't played the second one yet, and I honestly hate the show (sorry, sorry, but I do) but I found the first game to be absolutely enthralling. And yet somehow it was less stressful to me than a lot of zombie games tend to be. I loved the emphasis on choice - I'm a sucker for that in ANY game - and also loved the diverse cast. There were some weird moments in the story (hoping this is vague enough to not be spoilery, but that attic scene with that one boy... wtf even was that) but all in all, I'd say it was worth it, and I'm sad I haven't had the chance to play the second one yet.

I loved the first one. I marathoned straight through it and 100%'d it in like 2 or 3 days.

The second one... I stopped playing halfway through.

The first was slower-paced and felt more like an old-fashioned point and click, whenever it wasn't being a visual novel. The second is more actiony, and by that I mean there's more QTEs.
The story and characters didn't quite 'grab' me like the first, either.
