But all of the following loans.... where do you get the bells?
You trade fruit/bugs/fish to timmy and Tommy for them. Which is an interesting racket I'll admit....like, where exactly do the bells come from?
But when you get right down to it, you are paid for simply living on the island, and doing what you were going to do anyway. And then you can use that money to put towards your house.
In conclusion, he really doesn't seem all that shady from the player characters perspective. But whatever passes for the internal revenue service in the animal crossing universe may want to have some extended words with Mr.Nook...
