I tried googling this, I got a bunch of different answers.
Once a villager moves out, how much days does it take for another villager to move in

As far as I know it depends how many villagers you're left with.
If you're left with 9 then several things can happen - if you go and ask someone from another town then they should plot the next day.
If you get them from your campsite it can take a few days for them to plot.
And I'm afraid I don't know how long it takes if you get a streetpass or voided one!
If you're down to 8, then I think it only takes a few days for the game to spawn someone new, it's been so long since it happened for me that I can't remember exactly, sorry!
