Pokémon omega ruby or alpha sapphire?

i've never played any pok?mon games before and i would love to start but since this is my first time i have no idea what differences or and as have and im kinda torn

It depends on what legendary pokemon you prefer each game has version exclusive pokemon the storyline is the same in both except the bad guys

I got Alpha Sapphire just because I prefer Kyogre over Groudon, plus the version exclusive legendaries at the end as well.

I went with Alpha Sapphire because I prefer Kyogre and the water theme.

I have both but I prefer Alpha Sapphire because it sounds cooler and Kyogre is cooler and Team Aqua is cooler

I prefer Omega Ruby vastly - Groudon is a cool armadillo thing, but other than version exclusives legendaries/Pokemon (For example, AS has Latias, while OR has Latios.) there are only a few small differences. The villains are different, too.

Just find a list of the exclusive Pokemon for each game and decide which you like more. That's preference, so there's no real 'better version' in that regard. There's really not much difference otherwise aside from slight changes with the antagonist team's appearance/some dialogue.

Then again, online trading makes the version exclusives almost redundant anyway since you can find them pretty easily online.




I got Omega Ruby because it had Mawile. That's literally the only reason I picked it over Alpha Sapphire.

Alpha Sapphire. My file details an interesting origin story on a part of my imagination that's stuck to me, a Blaziken named George. He was an incredibly shy fellow whose best friend (besides the girl named Desiree) was a Gardevoir named Chester. And apparently, he never liked Mega Evolving because it caused him to hurt his head, and during the Delta Episode, he got into so much stress, he suffered a Disney Death for it when it came to Rayquaza, because apparently, Rayquaza created Mega Evolving. As such, the poor fella got temporarily replaced with a Meganium named Lance.
