No offense but your 13 years old and some of these books on the list are pretty advanced. It is one thing to read the book but it is another to fully understand it and give an accurate rating. I'm not sure about How to Kill a Mockingbird (I've never picked it up) but I know for a fact that 1984 will go at a pretty slow pace and uses an different colloquialism from most books you've probably read (it also introduces a different language :/ ). I tried reading it and I knew I wasn't ready to read the book after the first chapter. Can I suggest you replace 1984 with the book Fahrenheit 451? It has a similar concept but it is much easier that 1984. Also, Fahrenheit 451, was one of the summer reading books for my honors English class. If your still looking for something by George Orwell try Animal Farm, I loved that book and I'm sure mostly anyone will too.
Who are you to judge her reading level or capabilities? You've never met her so you have no idea.

And also I'm in Year 8 England(13-14) and we read To Kill a Mockingbird in class this year. I get the feeling that Olivia is intelligent, so I'm sure To Kill a Mocking will be no more than a literate challenge.

I don't really have any books in mind, but I do have a suggestion. Maybe put the book reviews in spoilers for easy reference. Your call. :Y

Happy reading!

Can you guys back off of D1llon?
He was just stating the fact that children of Olivia!'s age, don't usually tend to have a complete understanding of said books.
Jesus *censored.3.0* TBT is full of parasites.

my brother read 1984 when he was 11.
and i read almost all of it when i was 9.
I believe that anyone could read any of these books, just like O.J. said.

So, where are the BOOK REVIEWS I SAY?

SEE WUT I DID THERE?
Of course almost anyone can read it, but that doesn't mean they can understand it.

That's all it is. I can see your concern, but trust me it's not going to be a waste of time.
If you REALLY think you can do it than you should read the first chapter and take notes. from there the book will get more involved and you should decide if you want to impress us and keep going. When I was reading Fahrenheit 451 for my honors English class (AP > honors) and I thought the book was pretty easy, I had hardly any trouble understanding it. It's been 4.5 months and I have to reread it for next semester. You are going to read 1984 and then take this class in 3 years. I'm not trying to say you can't do it but like Pally also said, you might end up reading it over. But now I'm thinking you're wanting to read it just out of curiosity.

Thanks :p

I'm not trying to draw lines to what people should post but me and Olivia! were having a discussion. I felt strongly on my opinion which was trying to HELP her and all I was doing was politely telling her. I am convinced the people who posted her believe I am looking for arguments.

Personally, I could care less, all I wanna do is book reviews. The Lightning Thief should be up by tomorrow.

Yeah, that feeling is still deep in my heart.

To further prove L Lawliet's point:

I read The Great Gatsby when I was 11, and was extremely stupid about it.
