Octavian is Starting a Cult.

If there's one villager that perplexes me, it's Octavian. I've had him in plenty of towns, but even though that he's programmed exactly like the other villagers, every incarnation of Octavian seems to be different. One Octavian was a ladies' man. One Octavian was obsessed with the "spaghetti vs mac and cheese" dialogue. One Octavian was obsessed coming to my house and inviting me over. Poshley's Octavian, however... is starting a cult.

As anyone who's seen Octavian knows, he proudly sports the big-star tee. I expected nothing.

Then, Octavian talked to Marina. It ended up with her wearing the big-star tee as well.

Then, Sheldon fell victim to the red meanace. Three villagers wearing that cursed tee.

Next, Inkwell fell victim. It's a shame, because he joined the cult literally the day he moved in, and I really like his original shirt.

Then, it was Chadder. Once again, he joined Octavian's side the day he moved in

His latest claim was Ursala. I thought she was with me, but she betrayed me and went to the side of the devil of a cephalopod.

Flurry, Zucker, Elise, and Chai are the only villagers who haven't joined the big-star cult. Will they give into the dastardly deeds of Octavian? We'll have to see in due time.

My advice is to give in and start wearing the big-star tee yourself. Make this strange cult the law of Poshley. Hopefully Octavian doesn't start ranting about aliens and how the Earth is about to be "recycled". If that happens, run.

Flurry was doing somethin similar in Moriyo, and she made Whitney wear her stupid shirt too, along with other animals. Shame cause I had just sent Whitney a silk bloom tee that she looked SO good in. It got to the point where I had to intervene and mail Flurry a shirt so she could stop spreading the orange abomination. I don't even remember what the actual shirt was, all I remember was that 1 it was orange and 2 it was ugly.

Ugh i have the same problem, but its with a stupid white shirt from anytown. EVERYONE in my town has worn it at one point, finally got sprinkle out of it after months. Its taunting me daily.

You guys think there is also a ducky tank cult? Plenty of villagers in my town keep wearing it and i low key hate it. Merengue, T-Bone, Tangy, and Mint had very nice shirts. But then they changed it to that sjsloquekddjalwjejekwnwk shirt

Zucker hasn?t changed his shirt yet, and for that I am so thankful. I?ll cry if he ever changes his shirt

Honestly, though, my Octavian seems really tame compared to yours. xD I can't think of anything outstanding he's done, but then I moved him in and have only sporadically been playing since. Maybe it just takes time for the crazy to set in lol.

Good luck with the cult! (Hm, something I thought I'd never type...) Though, considering it is the Big Star tee... I mean, that's kinda a cute shirt.

This was hilarious! Octavian sounds like an interesting guy. LOL

For those who want the ducky shirt or any of the other designs from "Someone" to stop taking over your towns, you can replace the design in the Able Sisters with a custom design of your own. If you don't want them to wear your design either, just make it a hat or umbrella.

Unfortunately, that still doesn't stop cults from happening with regular shirts that you can buy.

Octavian started a mini-cult in my town a while back.I gave him the HHA jacket for his birthday and he decided to share it with some of his animal friends.I thought they looked like a pack of real estate agents.

A bunch of mine are wearing the dapper shirt, which I strongly dislike!

It started off with Goldie, seemingly innocent, moving in. A few weeks later half of my village was wearing these ugly dapper shirts! Goldie has moved out at this point, but a bunch of my villagers are still wearing them. Not too long ago I finally convinced Stitches to wear his regular t-shirt again by gifting him yet another one on his birthday.

I'll have to make a special design and put it up in the shop to hopefully get the others to wear something else.

Omg thanks so much for the laughs!I cannot take Octavian seriously now. Like this is one of those I'll keep thinking about and laugh about so thanks for that. It's also amusing how different Octavian is in each of the towns you've had with him. Never experienced that before but it sounds very amusing. But can relate to the villagers wearing shirts you don't want them too. All of them keep wearing either the ducky or the white shirt from anytown and it's kinda annoying. Hamphrey was finally wearing the heart shirt I made but nope of course Melba somehow convinced him to wear that white shirt again...sigh. Haha you should keep us updated on the Octavian cult because it's very entertaining!

Update on the Octavian Cult: February 22, 2019

Octavian himself has been very quiet, either hiding himself in Super T&T or staying in his house. There seems to be some suspicious activity going on in the cult, as well. Whenever I took a stroll around the town after diving, four of the members, Marina, Sheldon, Ursala, and Chadder, were singing and dancing around town. Is this some kind of ritual? Very, very suspicious.

However, I suppose that I should also keep you updated on the remaining villagers that have not succumb to the might of Octavian. There are four of them so far. The most cautious, Flurry, hasn't left her house in days. I'm surprised that she hasn't asked to move out of this crazy town yet. Zucker, the fortunate one, lives farthest away from cult activity, so he usually hangs around outside, by the campsite, where the cult members dare not go. Is Octavian just against camping or something? In fact, Zucker is the only villager who ever dared to go near the site. In fact, Ursala, who was standing near the campsite, had me fetch her some fruit, assuming that she was too afraid to go and get it herself. Strange phenomenon, indeed. Chai, though not as cautious as Flurry, who lives near the heart of cult activity, is a fairly cautious elephant. She was hiding in the Able Sisters, one of the assumed safe spots from Octavian and his cronies. Elise, however, is playing a dangerous game. She was constantly hanging around cult members. Be careful, Elise! You could end up being one of them!

On another note, in Sherwood, Merengue has passed her chef's shirt to Becky. Is Merengue a crazy Octavian follower? Is her goal to turn Sherwood into a gang of crazy chefs?
