This is such a great post - thanks for making me laugh! I totally agree, Octavian must be in a cult haha This has happened too many times to me. Currently the "plague shirt" in my town is that white shirt from Able Sisters (I think it was designed by Someone?). I wish the villagers would just keep their original shirts though!

You know, Spork tried the same shenanigans in my town. One day, everyone had their own style, and the next thing I know, Yuka is wearing his shirt. I swear - I thought she had better taste than that.

I also have Octavian in my town, but honestly? He?s like, one of my personal favorites. At first his attitude rubbed me the wrong way entirely, but now? Now he calls me ?cookie? and I enjoy his old-man-style rants. ^_^

So...yeah, I?d probably join his cult if he tried to start one in my town. :3

Octavian is actually one of my favorites, too. Luckily the big-star tee is a shirt I can tolerate and wouldn't mind wearing it.

I've actually had this same thing happen to me, a veerrrrry long time ago. Like, when ACNL first came out loooong time ago. Limberg literally spread his shirt to two-thirds of my town, before I had decided to move him out. I think he decided starting an ugly shirt cult was his revenge against me for disliking him so much.

I have no idea who started it.... But half of my townies are wearing the bunny tee shirt. It's cute and all but... it looks pretty awful on some of them xD

I thought it was pretty funny that my husband was just telling me today about a gang in his town that he's named "The Leopards" because they all wear the leopard print shirt. Today, they had the newest member of his town, Paula, surrounded on the bridge and Vladimir, the leader of the gang, was pushing her into the other members. He said it looked like some sort of initiation right, but Paula held her own and did not submit to the demands to join their gang...at least for the time being. We'll see how long she holds out. LOL
