Ocarnia of Time Vs. Majoras Mask

Majora's Mask, it's smaller but seems to have an actual.... story?
OoT had a story but a very basic one, GO SAVE THE PRINCESS HAVE A SWORD HERE KILL GANON I HATE USING GRAMMAR MURDER VOLVAGIA KILL THAT THING EWWWW KILL THAT THING OOOH FAIRY HEY LISTEN WATCH OUT!"
It sped itself along way too fast and caused a slingshot of events that were either just too jumbled up or spaced out too far apart, it was a good game at best... but Majora's however....
I'm not biased either, I played Ocarina first and still love it to death, even have the 3DS remake, but it's just very bad, story progression-wise.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, I could do a little blog where I review games, hehehehe. Trademarked it already "Villager Boy's Take"
Huehuehue.

Ocarina's plot is literally just a rehash of ALttP with some adjustments

Majora's better for narrative, setting, and presentation
Ocarina's better for glitch-abuse (if gold cart)
gameplay, I consider them about even

so MM wins

Majoras, replay factor is weak tho
(i began to play an emulator of it)

what are you talking about

just think of how many times you'll be replaying the same 3 days

more like strongest replay factor of any Zelda

I loved them both to death, but my personal favorite would be Majora's Mask =)

Love both, but MM wins for me. I just really liked the characters and everything in MM, along with the way it felt "alive" e.g. characters had schedules and such.

I loved MM cause, to me, it felt like you got on a more personal level with all the characters you were helping and the game just had some really beautiful moments.

Let's not forget the inside of the moon.

I love both games dearly, but MM takes the cake for me.
Happy Mask Salesman is easily one of my favorite video game characters. Ever.

I mean after you beat everything, finsh the game story. Only thing left is the Fierce Denitys masi

I like Majora's Mask a bit more, but Ocarina of Time was good also. Can't wait for Majora's mask to come out for the 3DS

Ocarina of Time, because my brother and I played it together. Sentimental value, I guess?

Gameplay-wise, they're exactly the same with a few differences here and there.

Story & Characters however, points go to Majora's Mask.
Since they have well-developed and loveable characters, something that OOT has somewhat, but nothing compares to Majora's Mask.

Definatly Majoras Mask. It has best story, best replay abilities, best gameplay, great mechanics, lovable characters, and it's an enchantment of Ocarina of Time

(I love both games, but Majoras Mask is my favorite out of the two along with my favorite zelda game)

I would prefer Ocarina of Time because I have played that and haven't played Majora's Mask yet.

this is pretty piss-poor reasoning tbh

personally I prefer MM because it has a more distinctive style going for it, but really you should be playing both if you haven't

oh lel, hadn't even noticed I posted in this thread before

well cool, I won't have to elaborate

I think they're both great but I prefer MM, mainly because I found the story a bit more interesting and it felt really dark to me which I loved. It's one of my favorite Zelda games for sure.

I like Majora's Mask more because they put a lot of thought into the world and atmosphere, even though I wish it had another level or two it wouldn't work due to the four compass directions thing. But then again the levels were more challenging and difficult to enter, and there were tons of sidequests. Transforming into other races was the coolest thing ever and I like all three of them (especially Deku link because of the gloomy expression). It has a very strong replay value and if you want to see and do everything in the game it will take a while.

Ocarina of Time is still awesome though, and pretty much set the stage for adventure games to follow it. The story is classic but I don't want to see such a 2D ganondorf anymore. It also has the forest temple which is the best thing ever.
