Not sure whether to let a villager go?

i'm trying to get my dreamies without tt'ing and sure as heck the ones i don't mind as much but aren't dreamies ping to move instead of the ones that i want to move out

would it be a better idea to go to 8 villagers by letting someone i don't mind move out or keep him so that it's more likely the unwanted move out?

It depends on how fast you want your dreamies! If achieving your dreamies is more of a long-term goal for you, i.e. in the long run you'd like to have all your dreamies but the villagers you have now aren't preventing you from enjoying the game, then I'd keep that villager and wait until someone you don't like too much pings.

It depends on how impatient you are, I guess. Some people just want to get their dream villagers as soon as possible and focus more on landscaping and collecting stuff instead, other people don't mind waiting. It's just up to you. Personally, I don't have a lot of dream villagers so I didn't mind waiting for the villagers I didn't mind letting go of early on to ping me. There's a lot of villagers in my town that I don't think I'll keep forever but for the time being I like having them around so I've made them stay.
