Nook's Cranny Upgrade!

Isabelle told me today that mines going to be closed tomorrow, and reopen on Thursday (23/4). I bought my physical copy on release day and have played every day since, and I don't TT. Although as someone has pointed out above this means my shop will be closed on Earth Day, so I really hope that doesn't affect it! I can at least use my partner's Island to sell things on.

Yep, I just got notified this morning that my Nook's Cranny is going to be upgrading tomorrow and will reopen again on Thursday - I can't wait!

Hi, you may find this wierd, but can the upgrade somehow be delayed, can you force the shop to not close? I have a big spike pattern and I would have a price between 214 and 642 for turnips tommorow morning, but the shop is supposed to close for upgrade, is there any way to delay the closing, or is it too late? Otherwise I will have to sell today for 182 which is much worse. (I bought for 1 Million bells at 107 each on sunday)

Unfortunately I don't think there's any way to delay the construction :/ If you have NSO you can use this forum to check for high turnip prices in other islands, there are really good people here who won't request for exorbitant entry fees to sell turnips.

Yeah, I got the notification too, today.
I don't think it should affect Earth day as it seems that most people who have been playing without TT'ing are in the same boat.
I'll just put any extra bugs/fish or items that I would like to sell in storage.

It has to be 30 days since opened. If you've progressed correctly, and started playing on the 20th, you should have built NC on the 21st, and had it open on the 22nd.

I know some players wanted to keep their tent, and as such, were unable to get NC as soon as the could have.

Congrats! I haven't played yet today but I'm hoping to get it any day now! Keep us updated on if you get any new flower seeds! I'm curious to know if the update expands the selection at all.

March 20
- You pay off your tent
- You plot the museum Tent

March 21
- You collect materials for NC, and plot the building

March 22
- Grand Opening of Nook's Cranny

March 22-April 21
- Spend/Sell combined total of 200,000

I did do a little time travel to get the bedhead hair unlocked and I was afraid it would count towards the upgrade, but I did it before I even 'progressed' the tutorial and before I even plotted the shop down... so luckily my little session of briefly time travelling for hair ended up not counting towards it.

And judging from everyone else's comment it seems like today is the day for a lot of people that started at digital release time!

I know it's kinda off-topic, but could you show us how the bedhead hair looks like in NH? Also, how many days you had to be "away from the game" for it to be unlocked?

On topic: I got the game in the first hours of March 21st, and between then and now, there was two days in which I didn't play the game at all. If I'm counting correctly, my NC should close for the upgrade on the 23rd, right? Or it would be on the 25th?
