Nookazon Experiences

I never had a bad experience in Nookazon before, still... I check the user reviews to see where i am going into.

Personally when they talk me about Nookazon in this forum and try it at first by selling Julian i was kind of nervous tho, but thank God all goes perfectly.

In other hand, i heard of some bad experiences people have there due to some players that goes to the Islands and take flowers, fruit or DIYs without permission.

i was just on nookazon trading an hour ago and the person that i was trading with totally forgot to bring their item with them to my island LOL!! they had to leave and then come back to give it to me! after that i bid on the exact same item for the exact same price and i got the same person as my trader and that time i went to their island and we made another deal for six of the same item and i left and they ordered the items and gave me the code and POOF everything worked out perfectly!
even though the prices there are insane, sometimes you meet some really cool people...even if they sometimes forget to bring you their items LOL

I also used Nookazon to get some custom designs in my Ables and get drawings on my bulletin board! If you love art, I highly recommend it! It's nice just having little trinkets to see when you go and check! These are the ones on my board atm

Usually on Nookazon people take forever to respond and I don't have all kinds of time so waiting like an hour or so just for a response is impossible for me, that's a big reason I stopped selling on there.
The WORST experiences I've had would either have to be someone trying to scam me and, when it didn't work, they said some very nasty stuff in the messaging "app", this one time I was trading with someone who was obviously a kid and kept giving me weird excuses as to why they were taking so long and in the end they had to go so ultimately, I had 2 hours of time wasted so I left a 3 star review on them in that regard, or a time when someone just closed their gate on me as I was about to give them bells, so I left them a 1 star review for that, I know they messaged me but I don't wanna see what it says so I STILL haven't opened it

they DO take forever to respond!! if ive waited for more than 20 minutes i give up and move onto the next trader. i just went through that a second ago TheWildShadow55!! i was trying to trade with someone and they just Would Not Respond for literally an hour! two of them in fact *im not in the practice of trading with more than one person however in this instance trader one wasnt responding, so i tried to trade with someone else and they also did not respond!!!*

im feeling chatty about this tonight lol! i do like the idea of nookazon, despite the greed.

i just made a deal with someone for 100 nook miles tickets. they had a massive catalog wishlist and because i have the entire catalog i decided i wanted the nmt sooo i messaged them telling them that i could get them everything that they wanted if they could give me a few minutes to order and tt to get the items. they said cool so i went about ordering....and they waited for what...a half hour at least! and they were there with my 100 nmt!! it was Awesome!! :D

nookazon has its serious faults but for the most part the folks on there are amazingly cool, patient and giving. when i meet someone thats a good trader its a gift! half the folks i meet i want to friend them LOL

I’ve used Nookazon and had decent experiences. It seems like a lot of things are overpriced and people are trying to rip you off. I don’t understand why 10 NMT would be needed just to catalog a white rattan chair, which you can simply re-order from Nook’s. I feel like people take advantage, but some people are willing to pay those outrageous prices.

I have had mostly good experiences but plenty of frustrating experiences where the seller brought me the wrong color item. Since that was entirely the point of my trade (to help complete my catalog) it's really frustrating, because it takes a long time to check your catalog to confirm they brought the right color, and then if they didn't, it's a pain to try and work out a solution. I partly blame Nintendo for designing the game so that it would make us want to trade with strangers to get items, but then not designing an adequate trading system to prevent this kind of malarkey. Instead, a game that is otherwise super low stress is stressful because of stranger danger, lol.

It would have been so much better for everyone if they had designed a trading sytem for us to use. Instead, a game that is super low stress is stressful because of stranger danger, lol.
I feel you with that! I also have the bad tendency to leave reviews without checking the items, so most of the time I end up giving a 5-star review to someone who gave me the wrong color. Just another thing I need to work on, haha.

I usually have good experiences with Nookazon, but tonight I had something sort of upsetting happen to me. I've fortunately never been scammed (as it helps to check user reviews), but the interactions can be quite poor.

A user by the name of Rhonda (yes, namedropping as a warning) was listing paintings and I offered above the average price in NMTs on two of their listings, and they blocked me. I didn't do anything to deserve that. They have five stars, so do I. It was only upsetting as I've never been blocked for doing absolutely nothing but playing the Nookazon game. I wasn't annoying about it; it was a lot of time between offers. It's fine, Rhonda, you can keep your paintings. Don't list your items if you're not willing to sell.

I joined Nookazon two months ago to get items I wanted for my island and everyone I traded with were nice and stuff. I’ve only met one scammer last month that gave me the wrong versions of an item and junk in exchange for a lot of my NMTs. They gave me a stupid excuse for their mistake and didn’t want to fix it. Had to give them a bad review and report them for it. At least someone on in the ac community on Twitter was nice enough to give me the items I wanted after I complained what happened.

I've racked thousands of trades on nookazon and haven't had a ton of bad experiences I've never had one where they actually stole something from me, but it does happen. I would say you definitely need to leave a review just so others know ahead of time what they're getting into. Of course you don't have to leave a rude review just maybe some constructive criticism. I try to remember that A LOT of people play this game and trade on nookazon. I know I've encountered younger kids on there who just don't have the social skills that older people do, I try to have patience, but sometimes you just need to be a little more stern but gentle.

I give away a lot of grab bags, free loan pay offs, free bridge/ramp pay offs on there and I have a rule that after it's posted I take the first one and then choose a random number and count up in the offers from the first one to the next person I'll do. That way it's totally fair and I'm not being biased. I get a lot of "pick me, please pick me!" messages or things similar. I even had someone ask me to pick them and I just said as you can see in my description, i have a system and if you didn't get picked, don't worry I'll do it again and there are tons of other people doing give aways. You can get so much for free on there. They said "that's not fair, I need it!" and I just had to remind myself that this could be a child who just doesn't know any better.

I'm sorry that happened to you! I know it can be frustrating and a little scary when that happens.

My pet peeve with Nookazon is when people's accounts say they are online but they are not responding. I like when they have a guide in their bio that states when their status says "online" they really are online. And sometimes people even include the response times you can expect from them, which is nice. The more information you can have about someone else's trading habits, the more informed a decision you can make about whether they'd be a good trading partner for you.

Nookazon has its highs and lows. I prefer trading on belltree unless im in a hurry. I have had issues trading on reddit or belltree before, same as nookazon. I think with nookazon they just have more users so there's a higher chance you will have a bad experience. Belltree has a good system of moderation so you dont see as many issues. Im glad you left a review and sometimes people will retaliate and leave you a bad review. The nookazon mods are pretty helpful when that has happened, so i wouldnt worry when leaving a review. Also dont be shy to say no when people ask to visit! Its your gaming experience dont let others demand more of you!
