Update: I got Mira to replace Axel, and honestly, I'm now glad that Axel left!

I thought about that, although I'm not a massive fan of the Jock personality..
Axel was my dreamie, he's probably the only jock I can stand!

I know how you feel...and I'm sorry you lost Axel. I have Hamlet in my mostly hamster town, but I'm not overly fond of him. The only jock I actually like is Genji and I would feel absolutely gutted if I lost him.

You could try to sixteen villager cycle to get Axel back, even though it wouldn't be the same one.

I couldn't do the 16 villager cycle.
I'm actually very happy with my current villagers, so no way am I going to lose them xD.

You can just adopt random villagers and try to move them out in your 10th slot. It'll take a while, but you can totally get him back.

What about Rod? he's a pretty cool jock. He's a little mouse pirate! I think if you give another jock a go, you might just end up liking them. Although, now's not really the time to be suggesting jocks to you, since you just lost one. I'm sorry about Axel, I know it's hard picking new personality types for dreamies when there's not many that you like. I think it's a pretty hard choice with the jocks tbh, because there's always jocks you'll like and jocks you won't. Whereas the lazy characters are really lovable.

So I can understand what you mean about the cycle being basically impossible for you

I lost beau last week through my silly time travel. I went 6 days for some bizarre reason instead of my usual 4 (I just wasn't concentrating) and he was in boxes
I luckily still had Wolfgang on my dreamie list so I managed to get him instead and now my town is complete
I am stopping time travel completely now though.

I hate it when that happens. And there's nothing you can do, unless you're willing to take the time to cycle out enough villagers for him to forget you. Which I don't bother doing. I hope you find another dreamy or jock to take his place.

Have you heard of the 16 villager cycle? If you use that you can get him back, although it won't be the hamlet you know, but a new one
