no snowballs??

it's become winter and now there are snowballs around in animal crossing right? the other day I've seen the snowballs, but I didnt know that i was able to make snow people BSJDNNSJS until like yesterday- but anyway, since yesterday, there have been no snowballs and I dont know what I'm doing wrong? I've had acnh since it came out but honestly, I havent worked on my island as much as I probably should so there should be enough of open space scattered around ?

edit: i made sure no snowballs were hidden behind buildings/items/plants ect. i reloaded multiple times, and when i took these photos i didnt have any snow people build so it wasnt like i hit the limit or anything. i still dont know what the problem was, but when i got on today, there were snowballs . so i guess problem solved? also thank you to everyone who helped me !! ))

I will say, the picture you posted is nowhere near enough empty space for snowballs to spawn. I recommend removing some pathways to make at least 3 town squares worth of empty space, if not more!

Edit: I've been told that's not true! Sorry! I guess I just get lucky having them always spawn in the same big open patch.

hey! I had this issue too! mine were often hidden behind trees and bushes or were in flower patches. if you have any low-visibility areas, i'd make sure to check them!

If you can't find them, saving and reloading your game will make them appear in new locations.

I don't think that is the issue. I have way less space than in the picture and my balls span

Same happens to me, i have much more less space than that picture and i always get my balls spam. Something i do when i cant find them for what ever reason is i enter a building and then when i come out i try finding them and they are magically there . Hope this helps

Check some other areas of the island. They don't need wide open areas to spawn. Mine usually spawn near trees, flowers, the border where the beach is, and even up on small cliffs.

Also, keep in mind

• Dung beetles will destroy your snowballs if they push it into the river, off a cliff, or into the ocean. Going in and out of a building should help respawn them if they are destroyed.
• Snowballs have a bug/glitch where they will disappear and won't reappear until you walk a short distance away from where they are and walk back. So double or triple check some areas.

I've got one area on my island where snowballs spawn, and it's much smaller than yours.

I think you can also only have 4 snowmen at a time? Not sure, but I think that's what I read. That might affect their ability to spawn.

that’s true, but op hasn’t built any snowmen at all, so i don’t think that’s the issue. ><

Yes, the problem is snowmen only last 4 days (counting the day they are built), so it's not possible to have 4 snowman and try to build another one.
