No One Came to the Ceremony!!!

So today we were celebrating the completion of a round topiary in my town. When Isabelle and I arrived at the location, THERE WERE NO VILLAGERS. It was about 8:30 in the morning, so it's not like none of my villagers were out and about. I even saw a few walking around afterwards.

It was pretty close to Lucy's home but that's no reason there should be no villagers celebrating right? My mayor was the only one to use the popper

I've had that happen before too. I'm not sure why it happens, but when it happened in my town it was about 7:00 in the morning.

And after the ceremony, I found 4 of my villagers milling around by the town tree.

I was gonna but I put another one on the other corner of the square and am going to be putting lots of flowers between them. that area is kinda bare.

maybe it's because this is the first ceremony I've had in a while since I haven't had time to sit through them.

I've never had this happen to me before. When I do the ceremony, I make sure the majority of my villagers are awake. It is funny to read Isabelle thanking everyone for joining when it's just you two though.

This is strange, maybe there is a certain time frame for the villagers to attend the ceremony, like after 9 or 10 am? So it would have been too early for them at 8.30. Never happened in my town so far.
