Nintendo Letter Box arrives on Nintendo 3DS tomorrow

Available from early tomorrow morning, Nintendo will be releasing the new Nintendo Letter Box application for Nintendo 3DS in both Australia and Europe.

Nintendo Letter Box will be available to download for free from the Nintendo 3DS eShop and will finally provide the handheld system with a messaging service. Users can create 2D or 3D notes and drawings, and then send it to their Nintendo 3DS friends through the internet (SpotPass). You can also issue messages through StreetPass which will be distributed as you walk by other Nintendo 3DS owners. Sound can also be applied to your notes using the built-in microphone and you can even attach a 3D photo you?ve taken with the Nintendo 3DS Camera.

So if you own a Nintendo 3DS then be sure to download this free early Christmas present from Nintendo tomorrow via the Nintendo 3DS eShop.

So Europe gets this and Swapnote? Lucky. I honestly just wish the 3DS just had a messaging system, though. Like the PS3/360/Wii. You could just send messages to your friends and invite them to games. Why do you need to draw them pictures and record your voice?

1. Nintendo is a Japanese company and releases a product somewhere else first.

2. The title for Swapnote is different in other countries.

Actually, Swapnote IS Nintendo Letterbox, they're just named differently in NA and Europe.
