Hello! I'm Devicho.
I've been a fan of Animal Crossing for a long time, having first played the GCN iteration and then picking up every mainline game since. Nowadays, as I've been attempting to teach myself Japanese for some time now, I tend to play the games in Japanese as well.
I've known about the Bell Tree Forums in passing for quite a while as well, but never quite decided to jump in. However, with social media being fairly exhausting, I've been really missing the forum era of the internet, and am glad to see that places like this are still alive and well.
I'm a bit shy, but I hope I can acclimate myself to posting here. It would be nice to have a laid-back place where I can talk to people!

Are you actively playing any AC games at the moment? Do you have any favourite characters/villagers from the series?

Hey, guys! Thanks for the warm welcome!
As far as my favorite AC game: it's hard to choose, because they each tend to bring something different to the table. I like the simplicity of the GCN game, have a lot of nostalgia for Wild World, and really like the additions that we got with New Leaf.
While I tend to get distracted and sometimes take breaks from playing a given game, I started a town in Doubutsu no Mori+ a few months ago. I also have been meaning to start a new town in Wild World on a Japanese copy, but somehow I keep not quite getting around to it.
When it comes to favorite villagers, I don't think I have a favorite, but I find that I like a lot of the normal personality villagers for having cute, simple designs. Lolly, Vesta, Poppy, and Marina are up there on my list. Outside of normal villagers I also like Punchy, Zucker, Carmen, and Dotty, though this list isn't exhaustive! A lot of the villagers are rather cute, after all.

You have great taste in villagers! Lolly, Zucker, Marina, and Poppy are a few of my favourite villagers as well, and normal is my favourite personality! I hope you're able to get around to starting your Japanese Wild World town soon and that your Doubutsu no Mori+ town is going well!
