I read somewhere that you will have to wait for a day before it disappears. I don't do time traveling to confirm this.

It doesn't disappear within a day- it's low-key random.

Update downloading now. This morning, I had the upgraded Nook's Cranny, tomorrow, Leif. Leif is an anagram for life, and life is good.

I'm currently on the 23rd (Real time, 10 am) and it seems Leif is not showing up? Is he like Kicks?

So I have TT back a day then back to today and that made it possible for Leif to appear. It's annoying for people who want Leif today and don't want to TT :/

I started my game before downloading the update, too. He is not here so um i guess i am stuck with Sahara for today unless he shows up later in the day, it is 5:30 am here.

Intrigued as to the meaning of the last few posts - am I right in interpreting that if the update downloaded when the player was already officially playing in the 23rd in game, aka past 5am, you have to wait till the day resets? In UK and 9 minutes to go till day resets. trying to figure out if I'll definitely get Leif or not!!

Update the game BEFORE you start your new day and he should appear in the plaza. Since you're in the UK and the game updated before your 5am you should be fine.
