I've been toying around the idea of going back to New Leaf to try to do something I've never accomplished yet: getting a perfect town. Many people have achieved this feat, so I want to do this too. I don't really play New Horizons, it's kind of boring, but the purpose of this poll is just to see what kind of answer you'd give, to satisfy my curiosity (and maybe the curiosity of other users). Thanks in advance for voting.
i don’t play New Leaf anymore. I took a hiatus around the time the WAs were introduced. I was really overwhelmed with all the stuff I was hoarding not to mention about the new items I’d need to get and also afraid to come back and find my villagers gone, so I don’t think I’ll be coming back. I did enjoy the time I played it; I wish I hung out with people then as I am now.
I personally don't play New Leaf anymore. I did enjoy it back when it came out, and played it a lot throughout the years leading up to NH, but NH has brought so many great QoL changes that I find it hard to go back to NL. I'll still always cherish it though, it was such an amazing game
I still play New Leaf every day. I have two towns and I check in on them and do maintenance at the very least. But if I have more time, I'm still working on finishing my second town, so I'll do a bit of decorating and landscaping here and there.
I don't actually own New Horizons and have no plans on getting it. I'm not very interested in the new things it brings to the game (terraforming, putting furniture outside, etc) since I'm not big on designing stuff anyway. I prefer to play the older games where that isn't so much of the focus.
I still check in once in a blue moon, but when I do It's mostly Club Tortimer. I always miss that place despite being a regular there, not talking one bit (Which I still do). I couldn't care at all on my town there since that's out of the picture, though I never cared about it during the beginning of 2018.
i don’t play anymore. i feel like i can’t go back to it because i’ve gotten so far into the game i don’t have anything to do accept from talking to villagers. i believe i have all the items in the catalog so can’t really shop for new items and my house is all decorated. I don’t really want to go back to new leaf because there’s more stuff to do in NH, but i don’t want to sell my NL cartridge because it’s something i want to look back on in 5-10 years when NL will be very old.
I can’t say I’ve touched New Leaf in months. I would only touch it for 4 reasons: the nostalgic music, island tours, Brewster and The Roost, and Marty. Now that I can get Marty in New Horizons, there aren’t enough reasons to really touch New Leaf. Plus, I’ve done so much in it that there isn’t much to do. New Horizons may still be lacking some content, but it has enough updates and new things added to keep me going.
I still play it a tiny bit, but that's mostly just to help other players with things like villager signatures. I haven't played in my main town in over a year.
I haven't played New Leaf lately, but I have no intention whatsoever of abandoning New Leaf. There are aspects to New Leaf that I find to be superior to New Horizons, though on the flipside I also acknowledge that New Horizons does have some of its own advantages. They are two separate experiences and I still find appeal and value in New Leaf. The only reason I haven't played it lately is because I tend to fixate on things for a while before my interest shifts to something else, and I've simply been interested in things other than Animal Crossing lately. I'll loop around back to New Leaf at some point.
i used to go on there sometimes to check on my old villagers like wolf link and the sanrio villagers but i don't play too much anymore since sanrio villagers are now in NH
i will go on every now and then to see wolf link but since that's all i do, i don't play for long
I had quite a large break from NL for a couple of years but after about a year of playing NH I decided I wanted to play it again so in the last few weeks I've restarted my town and since then I've played both games most days, even if it's just for a short time, and have been enjoying both. Out of the two I slightly prefer NH mainly because I like the graphics and bigger screen of the Switch more and because I like the greater freedom that I get for decorating the island but I am really enjoying getting back into NL and building up my town at a nice pace.
I have 2 copies of NL and restarted a copy one night for some reason since NH came out and only played it that night, don’t really see myself ever returning to NL unless it’s just to look at my old town!
there are aspects of NL I certainly think are better, but overall I think it’s time to move on after almost 500 hours haha
most definitely still play new leaf! it’s my favourite game in the series and i still haven’t finished my town(s) despite starting them day of release, so i have a long ways to go.
I only play New Leaf, I never got a switch. Honestly New Horizons just doesn't seem tempting to me...I don't care for the island design aspect, I cared more about the villager conversation, and they seem boring in NH from the videos I've watched and few hours I've played.
