recently I changed all my paths from brick to stone. all my bridges are brick bridges, since they match pretty well with the brick paths, but I feel like they clash a bit with the stone paths now.

now, I want my island to look sort of rustic and forest-y (I know the very neatly aligned neighborhoods don't really match that theme but I'm bad at placing things in an organic way ok :') ), hence why I changed the paths to stone paths since I felt the brick paths felt a little too "developed", and why I added the leaf patterns along the paths to help sell the "nature" theme a bit more (code for the leaf patterns is MA-2666-2445-8950 btw if anyone wants it!). I feel like the suspension bridge matches the theme best, but I've been told that the brick bridges suit my island better since the neighborhoods are very city-like and not really forest-y at all.

ngl, I feel like I've mostly talked myself into using the suspension bridges but I'd like to hear more opinions. some reference pics in spoilers so you can sort of see the vibe I'm going for ;u;

The brick bridge definately gives off 'I'm walking through a city park feel' The suspension bridge makes it feel like you're walking through more of a nature park, where there will be forest trails to walk/jog along. Both look good, so I dont know :D

I think the suspension bridge seems to better fit the theme you have in mind, but I think the brick bridge blends better with your path.

Personally the grassy space in-between the path and the bridge would bother me. Have you thought about the brown zen bridge? It's still got a somewhat natural feel and I think it looks quite nice with the stone paths.

I picked the same path as you and I chose suspension bridges. My town is more rural than yours though but I think they would still work. I do think the other bridge clashes a bit imo.

I want to stay away from the city feel tbh so this makes me lean towards suspension bridge more!

I actually did try the zen bridge but I wasn't feeling it. even though it's made out of wood it still kinda has that sort of "industrialized" (for lack of a better word) look to it and it's way bulkier than I'd like.

surprisingly, that strip of grass between the path and the bridge doesn't bother me, even though I'm usually very nitpicky with that kind of thing! although the wooden bridge is fairly simple and doesn't have that awkward gap but I'm not sure how I feel about it...

not to make things harder but the stone bridges look great too!
I tried the stone bridge as well and I didn't like how it looked with the stone paths ;A;

yeah, the more I look at it the more I don't like the brick bridge lol

thank you everyone for sharing your thoughts!!

suspension bridge for sure! before I even finished reading this forum I was like "hmmmm if its gonna have a more natural feel to it then suspension bridge would work very well"

Definitely the suspension bridge! I don't think the brick bridge looks very good with your paths.

The flat wooden bridge also looks very nice. You could even use a mix of both in different parts of the island!

If it doesn't bother you then I'd say go for it! It fits your theme the best and it doesn't look bad... just a nitpick from an overthinking over-analyzer (me). :p

I personally love the brick bridge but I think if you're going for a forest feel, go for the suspension bridge for sure!
