Oof, I didn't have a better title in mind that I could use, sorry.

So, I got ten villagers now, and aside from two of them, I'm looking to replace them all. I do have a stack of Amiibos I'll use for them, no biggie, but I got a different problem.
I'm still on my quest to find Raymond, but since he doesn't have an Amiibo yet, I gotta have an empty plot and.. enough hope and luck, I suppose. So I do want to wait until someone moves out so I can go look for him again. But I also want to force a few of my dreamies in via Amiibos, but I'm hesitating.

If I start doing that now, force someone out via Amiibo, will the "natural" move-out requests get "reset", or rather, would I have to wait for like another week until someone thinks about moving out?
I really wanna get my island more.. dreamy-populated but as I said, I'm hesitating.

It takes A LONG TIME in this game for people to move out naturally if you don't TT.
I only had 2 move-out requests so far and one move-out (I denied one) and I've been playing since launch.

I've got amiibos for some of my dreamies too but I also want to go Island hopping and discover some other villagers that way.
Also, I kind of want to give my villagers a chance to get adopted by someone who might want them (that may seem silly but I'd like to think that some of my villagers could be potential dreamies so I wouldn't just want to boot anyone out if that makes sense).
So I'm just waiting for mine to move out naturally.

if you have a stack of amiibos and want raymond, your best bet is to force villagers out until you have 0 smug villagers and at least 1 of each of the others, roll via campsite method (if you're averse to TTing well, I guess you can wait ingame days for natural moveouts to happen since it'll be a personality plot fill, or wait for a camper as usual) and then use amiibos to force dreamies to move back in.

The natural move-out requests will not get reset. I have been bringing in amiibos since the option became available, and had one of my villagers ask to move, whom I just brought in less than a week before

They will not reset UNLESS somebody asks you to move out the same day you try to force somebody out via amiibo. I learned this the hard way.

For example, on Monday Eunice asked me to move out. I told her yes, she agreed, and as of Tuesday she SHOULD have been in boxes. Well, on Monday, I forced Eugine out via the campsite with an amiibo... He went in boxes immediately and then his plot was empty the next day.

Eunice never went in boxes because I think the game is coded in a way that two villagers can't make up their mind to leave on the same day.

Because I told Eunice to leave, I'm assuming that reset the counter for a natural move out but that was all my own fault... So don't do that lol

Otherwise you should be good!

I've had too move-outs so far, which I guess is okay haha I got three villagers I do want to move out on their own to give them to someone else (Skye, Tia and Whitney), the rest is pretty unpopular and I'll just kick them out with no remorse, I suppose haha

Mh, I was thinking about that, but the TT is a problem for me and I feel like waiting on it's own is gonna take a couple months. I might still try that though, if everything else fails. Thank you!

That's good to know! Thet empty plot thing is still an issue for me haha

Oh I didn't know what! Then I'll keep that in mind and tread carefully! Thanks for the heads-up!

I second this–I've been playing everyday since launch and have only had two move-out requests.

I actually just moved someone out via amiibo the other day and a few minutes later someone pinged me to leave so it definitely doesn't reset anything

Ohh alright! Then I guess I'll finally put those amiibos to use! Thanks!
