Native Fruit Poll!

All of them. I have many towns. My oldest town, Weeds, has pears.

As of this post, it is a tie between apples and cherries (8 votes each) for most common native fruit which makes sense because they both look really nice in their perfect form! Peaches are currently the least common with oranges & pears tied for 2nd to last! Quite fascinating if you ask me.

My favorite type of fruit is cherries. I wanted my town to have them because in real life they seldom are in stock...or at least when it's not their season.

I personally always thought perfect oranges looked really cool, they kind of reminded me of pears in a way. xD What is very interesting about perfect oranges though is that they are not actual oranges, they actually are based off of a fruit that is a hybrid between citruses kiyomi and ponkan called a dekopon (pictures below) that is considered by some to be the most delicious citrus in the world!

Oh, how cool! I didn’t know that. I figured that they were based off some sort of hybrid fruit like oranges, but the first picture makes them look adorable, haha. Now I want to try some. (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)

Apples are my native fruit, but all my fruit trees (except for on my island) are cherry trees.

I have four towns (because I have so many villagers whose designs I like and wanted to adopt but didn't want to just cycle old ones out) and each town has a unique town fruit. They are Pears, Oranges, Peaches, and Cherries. I'm kind of disappointed because I wanted at least one town to have Apples as the town fruit because the Perfect Apples look really nice, but I'll probably just aim for them in the Switch game.

They look like Red Delicious to me, so I feel like they can't possibly be perfect because Red Delicious apples are so tasteless!

My first town has pears. When I started my second town, the only things I wanted were a different native fruit and a private beach. I reset the first map I selected because I got pears as my native fruit. Luckily I got apples the second time, and I really like the map.

I never knew apples were so well liked. I don't care for their taste. Unless everyone is just basing it on the appearance of the apple in game.

Cherries have been my native fruit across most of my long term towns. My old Gamecube town had cherries, my City Folk town had cherries, my old New Leaf town had cherries, and now my current New Leaf town has cherries. I'm not even trying to get them, but they always seem to show up anyway.

Bumping this thread since I feel like the sample size is not quite to the point of confidence to reflect the TBT community entirely! With the current statistics that have become apparent/indisputable though, more than half of the TBT community appear to have Perfect Apples or Perfect Cherries which means that people with the other 3 fruits can trade perfect fruit with more people in the TBT community compared to people with apples or cherries. Lets keep this going everyone!

I've made towns quite a few times now. Even thou I've heard apples are the most common, I always get peaches. It was okay at first but now all 3 of my towns have PEACHES.

I have pears and I despise them. I hate their taste in real life, and they're super ugly in game.
