Ignore the coloured houses, that was done for some planning reasons on my town blog.

Anyways, I wanna post my town map here looking for some opinions on it. I had a huge blog entry earlier today, but my blog has pretty much already died and gets no traffic or many comments, if at all. I'm mostly just looking for some opinions on house placement (although it will likely not change), what I could potentially do with my paths and the placement of my campsite, cafe and police station when those times come. I do have a vague idea where to put the campsite, though. In the top left corner.

On a side note, my latest blog entry does go into more detail on what I have plans (so far) for my town.

Like I mentioned above, I do have a town progress blog I'm working on. I'm attempting to do daily entries, but lately it hasn't getting much attention at all. I really would appreciate if people take a look and leave comments, since it gives me a reason to continue it. I don't want my work to be in vain and not seeing comments lately has really killed my motivation in doing it. Link is in my signature.

You don't have to, though.

I honestly didn’t know that we had a blog area until recently, haha. I went and left a comment for you! <3

To be honest... I didn’t like how you scatter a lot of the villager houses then place two villager houses aligned perfectly next to each other and your house. It would be better if you scatter all of them but the scattering really depends on the paths you’re looking forward to. Is there a reason for this?

Hi Khaelis!

It would be convenient for the campsite to be near the railroad track if you do campsite resets! I resetted my town and my town hall and pond is in the same position as yours. I put my campsite behind my townhall so I can see it when I am running errands. If not - you could always make your campsite in its own area up north. In terms of the police station, you can have it near the campsite. I think a beach cafe would like nice on your map (that spot in front of the pier, or along the left side of the map). This also depends on whether you want to keep certain villagers or not.

Good luck! :)

I already put up the campsite in the top left corner. I don't have much use for it, but I build it anyways because the way I look at it, the campsite is an 'eleventh' villager than appears randomly. Plus I like to collect the campsite/igloo items.

I like how your houses are pretty spread out and they all look like they're in good areas! I would plot reset but I have all my wanted villagers and they're all in random areas. If i get a microSD card reader for my mac air, I'll probably use the save editor to move things around but for now I'm fine with it

Heh, plot resetting isn't difficult when you let the patterns do it for you. ~

Police Station - I try & get this next to other buildings - usually the Town Hall - but don't think this would work in this town - WA campsite one side of TH & houses on the other (I wouldn't want to put Police Stn in front of houses).
I have one town with this issue & successfully placed the Police Station next to the Bulletin board - as close as I could get it (it was one space away from railway tracks & 2 (I think. might have been one) away from the board. When you exit train station you can't see it, have to turn left to do so. I had to stand on the 6th space away from the railway tracks to get Isabelle to agree but it went in as I wanted.
Caf? a lot harder, might go in the same area - shove police stn along and put caf? next to bulletin board - but think Isabelle won't allow. You can try.
Where-ever I would try & get the caf? up against something (river maybe) so that you don't lose space behind. Haven't always followed this advice tho!

I think there might be enough room near the Town Hall for the Police Station -- there's surprisingly a lot of room behind it in the corner.

Cafe's really the only issue, having a hard time finding a fitting spot for it. I spaced out my villagers a little *too* well.
