I can bet (a few bells, lol), we won't get a new update until July. Mostly, because I feel they want to spread as much content as they can throughout the year, and in June we're changing seasons (which brings new seasonal items, fish/bugs, clothing), the wedding event and the bug catching contest for NH. What do y'all think?

i think it i a little annoying they want to spread set content throughout the year as much as possible though i believe i can understand them from their perspective: they want the game to be relevant for as long as they can with said content but it is fairly annoying for us gamers who bought the game

I think it’s reasonable for the devs to let folks spend some time with the current in-game events before announcing what’s coming up next month. I dunno how long they will wait to make an announcement though.

yeah the events are nice so are the content so maybe they could have different events we could hunt for in different islands

i think you’re right - they probably want us to experience wedding season and everything that june has to offer before dropping another update

I hope you're wrong,,I craaaave a new update,, I like the ones we are given but the game is getting stale (sorry acnh I love you!)

I figure that’s the case. Maybe a small mid-June update, since I’m sure Nintendo will do something in place of E3 this year, and Nintendo likes to go “AND ITS AVAILABLE TONIGHT” for small announcements. But I like the wedding event and hunting for summer shells rn! We’ll see.

I just hope that Reese mentioning the lovely series was foreshadowing for more furniture series to make a reappearance in the near future. I think it should happen sooner rather than later, and this is getting my hopes up a loooot...

Yeah, I think it will be July as well. It seems like none of the update events so far have really overlapped, so their next batch of events or something will be from July to September. But a trailer may drop later this month?

Whether it's this month or next, there is plenty of content currently to keep my appetite whet. Though, I would love to see diving make a return, but other than that, the game scratches all my itches.

I'm hoping there will be an update in mid-June since E3 was supposed to be during June 9-11 if I'm not mistaken? And I feel like Nintendo would've had some announcements about ACNH if it wasn't cancelled...

What I would like is if there was a roadmap for the next 3 months on what we can expect. Live service games usually project content out and communicate upcoming features. It feels like we are left in the dark.

Perhaps Nintendo is in the dark too and have nothing ready because of Covid 19 ^^

If game companies are still going to do online directs around E3 week, I predict we are going to get an announcement about updates and they will be available late June/early July.

This was a major release of one of their first party franchises that they have stated is meant to be updated for years.

If they do not have a long term plan for this game, that is a failure on their end not the fault of COVID-19.

Well, I'd expect some sort of an announcement in a couple of weeks at least as to the next few update(s) we can expect.
Since the wedding event is a 30-day thing, I'm not really complaining. I know that some people decided to TT and finish it within a day, and yes, I know that technically-speaking each time you do the photoshoot you can just slap a bunch of items in to get the full points, but I'm still having fun with it.
Plus we are getting new seasonal sea-shell DIY's and there's plenty of fishing that I look forward to doing.
If anything, I feel that there's a lot more to do in June that in the previous months.
