This is getting really annoying. You know how when you have bad luck days you fall while running? Well it's been like this for four days straight. Is it just some cruel coincidence? If it helps any, my character wears the Mii mask, but I've never had problems with it before.

You're having a bad luck day! I've never had two bad luck days straight, except when TTing. But they're annoying. I don't think that there's anything that prevents them from happening contiguously.
When Katrina is visiting your town (she has a tent set up on the plaza, and villagers will talk about her) you can go visit her and she'll tell you what your "lucky item" is. Wearing that item can help counter the effects of a bad luck day. I think that once you've had your fortune told by her enough times, you have to option for her to set up shop in your town permanently in the shopping district, and I think you can get an option then that stops you from tripping permanently.
I find that when they're using equipped tools you trip more often. I don't know if masks count but you could try removing your Mii mask for another day or so and seeing if it's gone. And until then, don't run.

Gravitational pulls get stronger in your town day by day. By the 13th day, the gravitational pull will be so strong your whole town will be pulled toward's the planet's core, causing all your villagers to die, including Tom Nook.
