My First Camper Move-In- A Question or Two

Well, I finally decided to make the campground. After receiving the totem pole and bonfire PWPs, and amassing 12 cedar saplings, I just couldn't resist it. And today, I walked into the tent to see the adorable, irresistible face of Alice. Koalas are my fatal weakness, so of course I invited her to live in Tam Tam. Anyway, I am unfamiliar with how camper move ins work. I presume she'll be gone tomorrow- but when will her house plot appear? And, can I reset her house plot by creating a new character?

Her plot will appear 2 days after you ask her to move in.

It could happen the very next day too, that's what happened to Bunnie when she moved to my town.

Thanks for your replies- it seems to me that, just to be safe, I ought to start a new character tomorrow just in case she moves in straightaway. There's plenty of free space for her house to go, but knowing villager real estate logic, there' still a good chance that she might decide to land on a particularly nice flower bed or cedar grove.
