Moving my "mayor" to a new town question!

He's not actually the mayor, though.
Is this like a one time shot, you get what town you get?
Can I move him back and forth between my two towns?
I probably can't, since he'll become mayor, but yeah.


Has anyone ever moved before? What happens?
I got a new DS and a new game for my birthday, so I'd like to be the mayor of my town, not just a resident.
I made a new town out of habit and started with Poppy, Rosie, Pashmina, and Dotty though. Oops.

Or if I turn off the DS before saving, will that kill my file?

only the first player created can become the mayor and I believe moving/deleting the mayor kills the whole town as well (or it just wont let the mayor do any of these)

also turning off before saving shouldn't destroy your file, though turning off while saving can
