Most overrated/ underrated villagers

Out of curiosity,how many of you that have labeled a particular villager as "overrated" on this thread have actually had that villager living in your town for any length of time?

I had Whitney as an original move in in my own, I didn't hate her but I really wanted her out because the way she looks really irks me. I felt the same about Pekoe. Beau is cute, I've seen him several times in game, but with a lot of interesting and unique lazy villagers like Jeremiah, Benjamin, Lucky, Cube, Cole, Tucker, and Chester he doesn't seem like much in my opinion.

Diana was one of my starting villagers after my first reset. I kinda wanted her out mainly because she was too pale for my liking. Plus, she was boring.

Overrated: Marshal definitely, I mean I guess he's cute but I guess I just dont see the appeal

Underrated: Joey. I mean look at him, tiny little duck with giant eyebrows... too cute <3

Marshal is super overrated. He always looks so pissed off! You live in Animal Crossing, your life is perfect, perk up!!! Ugh I had him in my town for a month and he brought me nothing but grief lol.
Also I think jocks are underrated in general. They're so nice and I love their personalities! And I'm no jock, just a nerd who lifts weights sometimes

Oh my god Chrissy and Francine are the most creepy and hideous things ever. They remind of the butterfly from that one episode of spongebob with their huge insect-like eyes.

For overrated I'd have to say Stitches, he looks so creepy to me and doesn't even look remotely cute imo.
And for underrated I'd say Groucho, I think he is one of the most adorable and sweet cranky types, he needs more love.

I don't really have any overrated villagers, but in terms of underrated villagers I have a couple. Anchovy, who is not very well liked among fans of lazy villagers. Coach is another one, most people call him one of the worst jock villagers.

I think Tutu and Pietro are really underrated. Tutu is adorable and how could I not love a rainbow sheep!?

I had Lolly for quite a while and found her quite boring and overrated. So I have.

I think that so many of the squirrels are underrated. Seriously; Marshall and Poppy are the only ones decently high in tier. Why are there not more lovers of Agent S, Filbert, Blaire or Sally? There's a reason I decided to make an all-squirrel town.

I think the wolves are overrated... Chief, Fang, Lobo, Wolfgang... I think they are overall just meh, Lobo is the only interesting one IMO since he looks kinda scared and he's ironic being a wolf in all

There are some super awesome Tier 5 Villagers that are supremely gorgeous and I don't get why no one ever looks for them!
Timbra the Snooty Sheep: she's super cute, and her name is awesome! She has something to do with trees and the pun on Timber is even cooler too...


Celia the Normal Eagle: she is one of two girl eagles (the other being a little rough...) and is absolutely stunning!


Bettina the Normal Mouse: two words: Shiny Pikachu, and she's an adorable little chef mouse... ratatouille is a perfect catchphrase for her... plus all the mice just look weird and she looks like one of the best


My only reasoning for their unpopularity is that people don't know about them... so hopefully you see a villager you haven't experienced!

Honestly don't understand why Felicity isn't Tier I. She is the cutest peppy villager, in my honest opinion. She's been my favorite villager of all time since I got her when City Folk came out.

I also think Katt is underrated. I think she looks pretty cute in how goofy she looks.

As for overrated, probably Ankha, or most theme-specific villagers, really.

Also, Deirdre is the best uchi.

Chester is one of my favorite low tier villagers(4).
I don't really get the Marshall craze.
