Monster Hunter Tri Quest Tutorial Glitch

I accept the first quest, the shroom harvest. I open the supply box, and I take items, but when I push B to exit the box, it just keeps going back to the box. I've tried every setting and button combination, but nothing works. I'm stuck on that box, raging and hearing that wood creak sound over and over.

What should I do? Is it my controller, is it my disc? Has this happened to any of you before? I seriously didn't expect any glitches on a brand new game. I'll most likely create a new character...I haven't gotten that far ingame anyways.

One last thing: Is it possible to stop that automatic item pickup? Every time I walk over a monster corpse or a herb, it automatically picks it up. I wanna do things manually.

I say reconnect your controller, and about the automatic item pick up, do you shake your nunchuk hand a lot or do you move around a lot with it? A shake of the nunchuk carves, or you might be holding down A.

Then I guess my Nunchuck is messed up. This has never happened before, though...

If you have another, just switch em.

Did anyone ever figure out what the heck was wrong? The same thing is happening to me...

I will literally put the wii remote and chuk down on the couch and the game will still automatically pick something up forever. ie the torch at the village. I have tried taking out batteries, re-synching the remote, buying a new wii remote and swapping out the chuk with another wii remote... all with no success. The character contiunes to automatically pick stuff up!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
