Has anyone tried using the Rescue Services like how the Fly HM from the Pokémon games (or that Air Taxi from Pokémon Sword and Shield)? I hardly use the feature for its intended purpose, and because I have the bridges and inclines connecting to every spot in town, there’s no need to use the Rescue Services, as well as the pole vault and ladder. I can move anywhere like I did in ACNL.

However, the feature is not all that useless now. If I’m feeling too lazy to get to home or another location (because of how my town is mapped), I would use this feature to get to my destination quickly. As you see, my first player’s house is in a fenced forest on the third tier of town. The only way down is through the staircase on the right, and it’s still a long way to Resident Services. I use the feature sparingly though, as the 100 Nook Miles charge makes perfect sense.

So who else uses this feature for that purpose? If you haven’t used it for that purpose, did I give you a new idea?

I use it as a Fly TM too. I tt a lot so I don't mind the fare price and I find it amazing as a lifesaver if I'm stuck while terraforming or too lazy to bring tools lol...

I've never thought to use it as a quick travel. Honestly...it probably wouldn't save me too much time, as I've streamlined my island pretty well to have the quickest travel routes. In the time it would take me to take out the phone and switch to the second screen, and select the option, and wait for whatever dialogue and loading to happen, I probably could have already held down the run button and been where I was headed.

I am interested in using it at least once, though...just to see what it looks like.

I used it like that once. It was meh. Not my thing, but my town is easy to navigate right now. I used it inside a house once to see what would happen. It was not as eventful as I was hoping it would be.

I haven't even touched this feature and I'm frankly unsure of why it exists. There's no possible way to get trapped as far as I know unless its' there in case you end up out of bounds?

Does it give you a Nook miles achievement for trying it once?
That's the only reason I'd ever use it TBH.

When I was first starting to play the game, I wad sure that the vaulting pole and ladder break just as the other tools do (lol); I even crafted spares.
It would make sense to have the service in place if that were the case - otherwise, I don't see the point at all.

i’ve never used this feature and i probably never will. i have thought about using it as a means to get home quicker but i don’t really wanna waste 100 miles just because i’m feeling lazy lmao

I don't know who would actually be dumb enough, but I did see a YouTube video where someone set up an incline at a river bend and it let them cuz there was enough space, but once Lloid was set up to take, he was blocking the only exit by land. And the person didn't have a vaulting pole. So like, it's unlikely, but I can see it being possible that you'd end up stuck.

I haven't used it, mainly because my layout doesn't require it. If there's a badge attached to it, I'll spend the miles, though.

There probably do exist ways to get trapped...but nothing that should present itself in the course of "normal" gameplay. I think it's just a failsafe "just in case" kind of thing. Honestly...I appreciate that it's there. But, I'm also curious...wouldn't saving and quitting save you from a scenario where you are "stuck" just the same? You always start the game by walking out your front door, regardless of where you previously quit...so I should think that would "unstick" you just the same.

I get lost in the museum every single time. When I forgetti, I call Resetti.

If you like Resetti it’s a nice feature. I like to use it and one time he said “who said it’s a good idea to use this service like a taxi!?” Lol

I used it once to see if there were Nook Miles challenges for it.

My town’s pretty easy to navigate, and idk what bugs I might be missing out on, or a balloon I might miss by using the service.
