I don't go on miiverse any more because I think it is stupid that they don't allow you to post friend codes. How are you supposed to connect with other players? I don't see what the big deal is, people can't join your game if you don't add their code too.
Also, watch out Nintendo! My friend code is on the side of this post. The horror! lol
I guess Nintendo doesn't want to be any way held responsible if some kid ends up befriending a pedophile and it all started by them meeting on Miiverse and exchanging FCs there.
Only thing I can possibly think of.
...
Besides them not wanting the place spammed with spam posts about FC codes.
Yeah, but if you go on the Pokemon page for example, it is a bunch of people asking for trades. How are you supposed to do that if you follow Nintendo's rules? I am glad my friend referred me to this site. It is much more fun.

It's ironic on how Wii U lets you add strangers via Miiverse, yet you're not allowed to share Friend Code from any DS game and 3DS system. They're considered as personal information in the likes of YouTube channel, email account, Twitter account, etc. But then, you can still share them anywhere else anyway.
I like to think Miiverse as a glorified Twitter for the Nintendo gaming population with significantly heavier moderation. Actual conversation is made difficult if not impossible. Also, the Miiverse Admins tend to be finicky should one of your Miiverse posts vaguely violates the rules. I even somehow managed to get one of my posts deleted by them for the most meaningless reasons. Mind you, this glitch can be easily done and it doesn't even harm the game at all. Below, I'll leave the post in its full glory to know what I exactly meant.
Maybe it has to do with "promoting glitching the game"? The notification I got for that offending post isn't clearly indicating exactly why this one was eligible for a deletion. Also, it's impossible to actually argue with Miiverse Admins, nor can they do the same for me outside of the rather limited selection of premade messages. Well, unless you fill a webform complaining that and call a Nintendo representative. But then again, why would they fuss over such an inoffensive glitch?
If you take into account that there are kids under 13 years old roaming on Miiverse, following its Code of Conduct shouldn't be a big problem.
