I'm going to say Bass, and then maybe Roll later on as DLC.

Zero appearing in a canon Mega Man game would have to be set up in a big way--Simply including him as a playable character with little fanfare would be silly. Capcom's going to want to hype up his first activation in the classic series.
Megaman X

Thats got Zero + Megman in :b
You're probably talking about X, who looks like Mega Man but is different :P .
You refering to the Megaman Zero games there?
? I never played the Mega Man Zero series, but I remember the main character in Mega Man X was called X. Or that's what they called it on the PSP remake. I'm not sure about the SNES version (it's been a while since I played it.)
From what i remember he was REFERRED to by zero as 'X'
Also Megaman Zero had 'X' as 'Megaman' but he had no real attacks and wasnt a playable character.

Mega Man and Mega Man X are both different robots. Dr. Light, the creator of Mega Man, in his final years put together X, giving him advanced system that gave him the ability to feel, think and act on his own. However, with this new system being an infant, Dr. Light felt that X needed time to mature so he sealed him away so that he could mature (or he worried that Xe could be a threat to the entire world, depending on whether or not you're playing the original SNES game or the PSP remake 'Maverick Hunter X).

By 2114, X had passed all the tests required to "mature", so his capsule was placed stand-by waiting for someone to wake him up.

Also Megaman Zero had 'X' as 'Megaman' but he had no real attacks and wasnt a playable character.

X appeared in the Mega Man Zero 1 through 3 as a Cyber Elf. His clone, Copy X, appeared in Mega Man Zero 1 as the game's main villain.
