May want to be careful trading items v2

well, with hacked switches/games you could practically inject whatever you wanted, so I don't think there's a way to stop that. I'm just surprised there's so many things that are possible without hacking it.
But like I said, you didn't need hacked GC, DS or 3DS to do that in previous games (at least I know it wasn't needed on the GC). There's so many games out there where duping are a thing, that it's not surprising. And it's nothing new either. I recall this happening back when Diablo 2 was new...

I'm honestly surprised that the campsite method hasn't tanked Raymond's price even a little bit. I mean, you can get him for free, you just need to time travel. I know it can be time consuming, but you'd think it would've at least made a dent on his price

Although I do TT some (rewind to earlier in the day, go forward a couple days), I'm uncomfortable with longterm TTing that the campsite method requires because I don't want to spoil new seasons and seasonal recipes for myself. On the other hand, duping is easy to do and doesn't require TTing. I'd wager there are many people who are ok with duping but wouldn't want to do campsite TTing years through the future.

Also, campsite method is extremely time consuming. Duping is not anywhere near as much.

Btw, this method looks like it doesn't carry risks of having glitched invisible items floating about like the previous method, so I'd wager it's not risking save files or anything. A lot more accessible.

even if Nintendo patched this, it's probably already too late. people can just hold off on downloading the patch and dupe as much as they want. idk if the economy can come back from this.

If Nintendo makes it so you can't do multiplayer without the latest patch, that would help stem the tide of duped items. There would still be some that got out (start a new file from a cartridge, dupe items til you can't dupe no more, update, trade), but it wouldn't be a constant flood of pre-patch people trading with patched people. (I'm also assuming that Nintendo can't ID which items are duped and somehow delete them, I don't know how they'd know.)

I just wanted to tell you that the campsite method can be done in a loop (example, between April and March) as I did to get a friend's dreamie, Judy, so you don't have to risk being spoiled! I didn't want to be spoiled so it worked for me ^^
