That actually makes a lot of sense. I'm sure part of it was budgeting in time for more casual players to stock up on non-reorderable items, but I never considered it would buy Nintendo time too.

Seeing as the summer seasonal recipes are pretty sparse (mostly wallpaper and flooring), perhaps Pascal will come back to give us the furniture intended for the set after we hand him his favorite snack.

Any time would be nice. I haven't really played in a while - I think the last time I logged in was Cookie's birthday, on the 18th? Some new gameplay would be nice to reinvigorate my interest in the game.

Hopefully that will be the case! I’m really starting to see people’s side that the game is a little lacklustre in terms of furniture and other things. Also, I’m really hoping that the updates in the future will actually get people back playing the game and form meaningful long term gameplay.
It’s sad that some people got bored quickly when Animal Crossing is about playing for a long time. But I’d like to think the reason why we feel like this is because we care. It’s because we want to see the Animal Crossing series do well. It’s because we want New Horizons the best it can be. Sure, it’s a huge success in terms of sales numbers, but forming good long term consumer relationships is just as important.

For the wedding stuff, I just press right on the D-pad, select all the wedding furniture, and then spam ZR over all of them. The room ends up looking pretty bad, but Reese gives you crystal hearts, anyway. I hope you’re right, think a lot of people are really itching for an update now, I still play everyday ofc but mostly just to do daily stuff and talk with my villagers. A new update would bring some much needed excitement to the game I think we all need right now.
At least the bug-off is this Saturday which is the first one for me, so excited about that.

An update is most certainly coming in, because we have no idea what events are planned going forward. Considering how Nintendo is dropping small "directs" from other games (Smash, Pokémon), I can see them dropping an AC update video either by the end of this week or by Monday.

Dude I hope you're right, I feel like the last week or so of each month I find myself running out of things to do and the repetition of DIYs and Nook items are getting tiresome
I really hope that an update comes soon. It is getting kinda boring and routinary since there's nothing really new happening.
Diving is my most anticipated feature. Hopefully there's Brewster and the Gyroids too. Also the return of series furniture. Please.

I completely agree. Last week of June was always when I expected the update. I will be bummed if they just add more holidays instead of a more substantial update.
If they are going to add diving, I hope that they add it now. The later they add it, the more akward the addition will feel. Other than that I would most like, and am most worried that they won't add, quality of life adjustments. Multiple item crafting, guarenteed weekly Redd visits, and tweaks to the conversations algorithm are things that I would most liked to see changed. Oh, and an improved method of placing and moving items when outside would be amazing!
Would also nice to eventually see more storage with additional "drawers". Would particularly love an individual drawer for each season in addition to the main storage. I would put holiday stuff and seasonal clothing in them <3 Maybe also a drawer you can access from the town hall that is accessible to all accounts on a single switch?
