marina or fauna - help

so awhile ago i found marina at one of the mystery islands and immediately invited her to move in because i love her, and later on thought that i should move her out and have fauna as my normal personality because i already have zucker and wanted to avoid more than one animal type (fauna would be the only deer villager, now with zucker i have 2 octopuses) - but now i'm not sure if i should move marina out at all and i'm having a hard time deciding. she didn't need to grow on me bc hello i was already fond of her before she moved in, but now her and my island rep are close, and she's been with me for a good chunk of time at this point. don't get me wrong though, i adore fauna too which is partly why it's so hard. pls vote!! i can't make decisions to save my life

I prefer Marina over Fauna, personally. It’s a matter or taste, really. However, if u want 1 type of animal in ur island, go Fauna

I prefer Marina also. I’ve had the pleasure of having them both before but Fauna, although very pretty bored me a lot. The normal personality is pretty basic and so nice so I prefer my normals to be more well...unique looking? Like Lily, the pastel frog. Or Marina. Or Molly cause she’s incredibly cute and smol. But it’s really just preference. I know a lot who prefer natural looking villagers and I’m assuming they’d be Team Fauna on this one. If you’re concerned about variety in species, you can go for Fauna but hey I also ideally wanted variety in my island but what do you know I ended up with 3 wolves so I’m not one to talk. Lol.

I adore both, but I think Marina matches really well with the Normal dialogue / behavior in this game! Fauna is crazy cute and great though, so you don’t have any bad choices here

I love them both but personally prefer Marina's design, especially for the adorable sweater she wears in NH now! So if it were me I would keep her--but if you're set on only having one octopus on your island then you should of course go for Fauna. Both are great choices!

I have Marina and Zucker on my island as well, and I'd say Marina ;m; she's too cute so I'd say pick Marina.
Like @ Starlightsong said, if you are looking for only one octopus, then I would hunt for Fauna instead.

I just go with whichever villagers I like best. I have Zucker and Marina (Octavian too on a fluke) and will have Fauna once I plan out my island a bit better. Variety is good, but so is having your favorites. If you think you'll miss Marina, kick out one of the other villagers you like least.

These types of questions are tricky because it all comes down to personal preference.
I, personally, prefer Marina because the Octopus villagers are more rare (there are only 3 of them after all) and I find her way cuter. So, perhaps, you could wait a while and decide then if you're still unsure?

It's up to who you would rather have. Functionally, they're the same character type, so it's not going to make a big difference on their personalities. It'll mostly come down to personal preference on looks. As someone who has both Marina and Fauna, I think Fauna is going to be a permanent resident and Marina will move out eventually, because I prefer Fauna. It's just all how your gut feels, basically.

Keep in mind though that Fauna is fairly popular, so she may be difficult to get a hold of. However, with Marina, you could have plenty of pull in getting her. Regardless, good luck!

I'd say Fauna, but it is up to you in the end. I'm not a fan of the octopi.
