I think it's because Marcie is so rare, there's hardly any other option than to bid all the bells that can be possibly spared when she's popping up if she's one's dreamie (or one's sister's dreamie). Thank you so much Lavandula, I really appreciate it!
I agree, the low tiers are often auto-voided making them harder to find. I'll watch for her in my campsite, and maybe she'll even show up (and I won't auto-void her). I've considered finding her for my town once, but took in Kitt instead.

I've come across her in my campsite twice, she is sweet. I couldn't take her in the first time because it was my main town and I had no room (Kitt had moved in just prior). The other was in my cycle town, but I didn't know anyone wanted her. She's around; there is hope
Wow, after reading those posts about Marcie I start to love her a bit too... I would've kept her, but there's no other choice since her house is RIGHT before the town hall - you simply can't work around that.
By the way, does anyone know how long it'll take before Marcie moves? The rumours started today I'm pretty sure.

Save and exit your game then restart. Go straight over to her and she should ping and give you her moving day.
It you don't TT, it is usually 5 days if the rumors started today

It really is, plus there are way more comments and views on this thread than the others, because I created it like 2 weeks ago, when I first started playing in this town.

Hmm... This isn't really exciting. Not that it's a huge problem or something like that, it can easily be fixed.
But it looks like Marcie changed her original clothing to something different, trough other villagers.
