Copied from Vrisnem Thread (Thanks Vrisnem!):

In order to best accommodate all TBT mafia users and hosts, a regularly updated queue thread is necessary to keep everyone in the loop. This will hopefully allow hosts to see what themes are coming up should they choose to avoid overlapping themes (IE someone does a Pokemon anime based mafia and someone else wants to do a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon based mafia). It is our intention to hopefully keep these queue as running smoothly and up to date. Everyone please feel free to update on your posts if I can't. Classify your game as either Main or Experimental or Micro together with your proposed dates and number of players desired:

Active Queue

1. Dedenne- Mountainous Game

2. Daniel -Among Us (Main)- Mountainous Set up

3. Geoni- Turbo Games 2020

4. Antonio-Daragonropa (Experimental)

Game Archive:

1.. Antonio- Uncertainty Mafia (EXPERIMENTAL)

2. Ness- High Risk High Reward Mafia (EXPERIMENTAL)-

3.Danny- Into the Mario-Verse Kingmaker (MAIN)

4. Geoni- Karen's Mafia (MAIN)

5. Antonio- TBT Fair (Experimental)

6. Dinotown (with Bianca)- Madness- Style Mafia Game (Experimental)

I'll like to be re-added to the queue, I'll like to host a Danganronpa styled experimental mafia game. The example game that I saw is more of a real-life card game, so i'm not 100% if it will translate well to a forum-based setup but I would like to attempt:

This is what I'm seeing, their are 2 teams, Hope (Town) and Despair (Mafia). Hope's objective in the game is to kill the Blackended before they kill a certain amount of users while Despair's Objective is to protect the Blackended. They are assigned their team alignments based on their role. The game is also broken down into 4 phases, Morning, Briefing Time, Class Trials, and Night Time. Each character is also assigned a Role, Character, and 2 items that can help them sway the game. Please look at spoilers down below for explanations and look at Sources below to see what type of cards their are.

Hope's
objective of the game is to kill the Blackended before they kill a certain amount of users and survive till the night while Despair's Objective is to protect the Blackended. Within the game, their is a single Blackened (Despair) and a certain amount of Traitors (Despair). The Blackended is the only one who decides who die at night and they win the game when they kill a certain amount of people. Traitors are aware of who the Blackended is but the Blackened isn't aware of who the traitors, etc. Traitors win when the blackended wins.

Since this was a card game originally, there is no mafia chat for the traitors. Still though, Traitors are aware of who the Blackend/Other Traitors are so they are still the informed minority.

Now then, let's talk about type of cards:

Role Card: This card tells you what alignment you are, plus your role abilities. Certain Town Roles will show up as Despair aligned so be warn. Also, none of the abilities (regarding role cards) consist of investigative powers, only protection-like abilities. All Role Card abilities are submitted during night through DM.

Character Card:
A character card assigns you with an ability that effects yours/another users Item cards in return for a special ability along with a name and gender. Whether it's protecting yourself by losing an item card or giving an item card to a player when you die, the possibility is endless. Certain cards can be self-activated during certain phases (not limited to night phases only but still can be limited to a certain phase) or are automatically-activated if someone happens like if a certain-gendered player plays a card or if you are attacked by the blackended. Certain cards can be singled used or multiple used limits. Each abilities is unique to a certain character. So, you'll have to announce you are using a certain card.

Item Card:
An item card is quite similar to that of a Character card. However, you get 2 item cards, their may be duplicates of the same item cards (duplicate abilities), and the use of the item card doesn't effect yours/others item cards. Besides those few differences, it's practically the same as a character card.

*Certain abilities must meet certain requirements before being used and could only be used during certain phases which are specified.
*All Card Actions are submitted through DM however all submitted actions are announced within the thread but the actual information is shared within DM.
*Character Card is not alignment-indicating.
*You will be notify via DM if you meet the requirements to use any ability you have. If you aren't notify but feel like you should, DM me.
The game originally starts with a Day 0, where no abilities/items/or murders happen. During this phase, the traitors are made aware of who the blackened is and everyone can just chat. This will last for about 6hrs.

Then the game will officially begin with Night 1, where the Blackended will vote someone off along with night abilities. This should last about 12 hours.

Then theirs morning phase, where everyone is made aware of who is killed, along with morning-only abilities. This phase doesn't last any time since the announcement should handle it.

Phases Briefing Time/Class Trials are considered Day phases. If you have an ability that says you are allowed to use it during Day phases, it applies to both but if you have a Class Trial only abilities, you can only use the ability in the second half of the day. Basically, the usual 24hr day phase is broken down into 2 parts.

Briefing Time: You may use abilities that are only allowed during Briefing Time/Day Phases. You cannot vote during this phase, only during the class trial. This phase last 12hrs.
Class Trial: I will process Briefing Time submitted abilities before beginning the class trial. This is where the class trial begins a.k.a. the voting. You are required to make a vote, you can't vote for no-lynch. However, you may vote for yourself. If there is a Tie, then their will be a revote and everyone will be required to vote between the tied individuals. Not voting will lead to your death. You may use Class Trial/Day Time abilities during this phase and you should expect an somewhat instant result. This phase last 12hrs.

Then the day phase will end and go back to the night phase, similar to what Night 1 phase is.

While i think the card game itself is a cool idea and could possibly, this idea is still very complex and too different to be really considered mafia. I understand the blackend/traitor thing is somewhat of the uninformed minority aspect in mafia, but the lack of chat and kill/vote/phase mechanics are too distinct from the mafia format

i think if you were to host a game like this, you should advertise to a larger forum base/offsite as this is more of a forum-styles board game than anything else. i’m not familiar with the game, but i’m sure there’s people who’ve played and might to interested. but for me, at least, it’s not mafia and i wouldn’t really be interested in joining and don’t think this game belongs in the cellar queue but in the basement instead

also i just hosted a kingmaker which is just mafia with different vote mechanics, and the reception of the setup has been very polarizing with a lot not liking it. i don’t know if our current player base would like a setup that strays too far from the standard mafia formula

Added. (lol im so silly) :p

antonio you're better off hosting that on a forum or something that actually knows of dangan ronpa. I doubt many people here know and may be confused. I understand it because I know of the game.

If you do want to host a danganronpa themed game, you can do vanilla games with flavored roles. Ex the mafia being named after all the killers in the original name. Godfather would be junko lol.

also 6 hours for a phase feels a bit messy because that could be someones sleep schedule

Not all mafia games have chats and their are kill/vote phases, it's just broken down into different aspects

the 6hr phase can be removed and start at one night one tbh

Can you stick me in the queue to host my Madness-style game (with my lovely co-host of course), but I'd like to be bumped down the list to prioritise more normal games first, because I think we need a little normality amongst all the experimental setups lately
